Two Breathable Wine Glasses

Aerates your wine
30 times quicker!

Wine is wonderful, but sitting around waiting for it to breathe can be a right pain in the pinots. And that’s why you need Breathable Wine Glasses. These revolutionary crystal glasses aerate wine 30 times faster than regular glasses, so you can enjoy your vino almost immediately. No decanters, feather-spitting small talk or olive fiddling required.

Simply pour your wine into a Breathable Wine Glass and in just two to four minutes it will show the same signs of aeration as wine that has been decanted for one to two hours. Amazing! But how does it work? Well apparently each lead-free crystal glass undergoes an innovative oxygenising treatment that…look, it’s all very scientific and yawn-worthy but by Bacchus, it works.

It's crystal clear

If any of you plonk-slugging heathens out there are wondering why wine needs to breathe at all, allow us to explain (they said whilst googling the answer). Aerating wine, particularly tannic red varieties, releases all those lovely aromas, improving overall flavour and palate impression. Or something like that.

It’s not enough to simply open the bottle; you have to create a sufficiently large surface area for the wine and air to react across. And that’s where decanters usually come in. But not any more.

Just think, thanks to these elegant glasses you won’t have to faff around with gargantuan glassware every time you fancy a splash of perfectly aerated vino. Just pour, wait a few minutes and enjoy. Mmm, such voluptuous density!

Perfect for insufferable wine bores, impatient plonk fans and decanter-less dinner party hosts, Breathable Wine Glasses will not lose their effectiveness when washed. Simply clean them as you would other crystal glassware – ie: carefully. Now’s the part where we usually tell you to hurry up and hit the Buy button, but seeing as you’re clearly an impatient type, we’ll assume you already have. Salut!

It's excellent I use mine to decant my snake oil, it really washes down the magic beans. Must go, I'm late for my palm reading. God be with you.

These Eisch crystal glasses are perhaps the best invention since sliced bread!! The first time I bought them was for my dad on Christmas day, we sat throughout the day with a breathable glass in one hand and a regular glass in the other doing taste tests on new unopened bottle of wine that hadn't been left to breathe. You don't need a wine connoisseur's palate to detect these not so subtle undertones, it literally tastes like a different wine when you compare the two glasses! Easily the best present I have ever bought!

Bought these for my parents 2 years ago. When they managed to break them, they went and bought the exact same glasses themselves. Enough said!

I wouldn't have believed the difference had I not tried them, much smoother wine drinking experience in these glasses than ordinary crystal wine glasses. I'm going to order another four!
Tina Whincup, Harrogate - 27th January 2011
These glasses look great and have a lovely weight to them. They are a gift and therefore we haven't tried them yet. The only thing I would say about them is the packaging they come in is a bit disappointing. The write on the website gives the impression they are really something special (and they may well be) but the packaging somewhat lets it down and doesn't really give the impression of what they are. You have to thoroughly read the enclosed leaflet to understand why these glasses are so different. The first two also arrived broken and I see from other reviews that this seems to happen a bit too frequently and suggest Firebox perhaps rethink the way they are packaged; however, Firebox dealt with this brilliantly and sent a second pair out by next day delivery. All in all - looks like a great product - the packaging just somewhat lets it down.

I love firebox! the royal mail were a bit heavy handed with my first set of glasses so sent a replacement the same day - and let me keep the unbroken glass from the first set too boot.
