Opening the Retro Pop Tarts Pop Tart's Foil wrapper

Open its foil wrapper...

If your toaster could talk it would tell you that it’s bored rigid with bread. It would then reminisce about the good old days, when its overworked elements were put to good use heating up Kellogg’s Pop Tarts.

Back in the day, these delicious little frosted pastries stuffed with yummy sweet fillings were adored by kids, students, layabouts and anyone else whose culinary skills were confined to plopping things in a toaster. Sadly, for some reason or another, Pop Tarts pretty much vanished from UK shelves at the end of the last century. But now, thanks to your snack loving friends at Firebox, they’re back by popular demand, straight from the USA. Yum yum!

Opening the Retro Pop Tarts Pop Tart's Foil wrapper

Pop into the toaster...

Available in three scrumptious varieties – Choc Chip Cookie Dough, Brown Sugar and Cinnamon, and Frosted Chocolate and Marshmallow (aka S’mores) – Pop Tarts are just as moreish as you remember. Sugary goodness sealed inside two layers of thin pastry crust? What’s not to love?

Fully baked, Pop Tarts are ready to eat straight out of the box but they really come into their own when you bung them in a toaster or microwave. Mmm…warm, gooey marshmallow! Eat them for breakfast, elevenses, dessert, whatever. The dentist will £ove you for it.

They are hot!

Ready to eat... mmm!

We’d love to tell you that these ultra-convenient nibbles are good for you, so we will. Sort of. They provide seven essential vitamins and minerals, and contain zero trans fat. Whatever that is. More importantly they make anything on toast seem decidedly unappetising.

Everyone knows old man Kellogg was a few cornflakes short of a full box, but even he would be amazed by these brilliantly bizarre rectangles of toastable yumminess. Most amazing of all, we’ve managed to write nearly 280 words about a product called Pop Tarts without making a single allusion to ***** ***** (name of chart botherering girl band removed following legal advice). Enjoy!

visitor avatar Found these on your site remembering my childhood and I decided to try some. So I got a couple of packs of 2 each brown sugar and cinnamon ( which are fantastic and sold on this very site) and apple strudel again really nice (but not sold here). I will without question be getting more. Oh and Firebox please get some more flavours.
Jonathan Emptage, Reading - 4th September 2011
visitor avatar Why make it more expensive? I can now get a much wider range of flavours for the same price from several other retailers!

visitor avatar I loooove pop tarts! I received my batch of 3 boxes (My second order of them) well packaged and on time. I just wish Firebox sold more flavours, even better that Kellogs sold more flavours in the UK. We can get strawberry and chocolate in the shops but they're boring compared to American flavours!
Emma Padgett, North East England - 18th May 2011
visitor avatar Yes, they're the same as Choco-Mallow that we used to have! Just £3.00 more!!
Theo Davies, Cambridge - 10th April 2011

Felicity, Stoke - 6th March 2011
Firebox says: Any ideas Pop Tart conasures?
visitor avatar My firebox order had barely arrived before I was dropping the S'more Poptarts into the toaster! They were awesome especially as here in the UK we only get chocolate and strawberry! I will definitely be ordering some more as I am sure my family will be finishing them off for me!
