I have got Casio Digital Piano and I want to record the sound to my windows 7 PC via USB. Will this device will do it?
Thanks.Lo84, - 2nd March 2011
Firebox says: As long as your Casio has Audio outs you're all set.
MP3 is a lossy audio format. Does this product produce any lossless formats?DS, - 5th January 2011

Do you know if you can convert VHS video cassettes?Dion, Gibraltar - 28th October 2010
Firebox says: For that you need our Video Converter: http://www.firebox.com/product/2605/U-Record-Video-Converter?via=ser
Your feedback suggests that it only interacts with iTunes, which I do not use nor wish to. Is it possible to direct the output direct to files on the PC and if so how?Bob, Kingston Surrey - 22nd September 2010
Firebox says: You can not use the EZ software without iTunes but you can use the Audacity. I hope this helps, and you can also call the tech support team on the number above if you have any further queries.
Sounds class! Is it possible 2 record music off my Xbox 360?Patrick Harte, N Wales - 19th September 2010
Firebox says: In theory, the technical support team don't see why not. However, this is unchartered territory. It should work so long your Xbox can send an audio signal out, then the U Record should be able to convert it. If you want to discuss it further please call the tech support number above.
I too am thinking of buying the product. What I don't see advertised is whether or not you can set the bit rate of the MP3 recording and if so, what are the minimum and maximum values possible?Jon, Manchester - 13th August 2010
Firebox says: Not with the EZ software. However you can try the audacity software also included on the disc. It comes with a comprehensive help guide which should answer any specific questions you might have. Don't forget you can also contact the tech support on 01252 896080 for any technical support questions.
This is amazing. My pile of old unused but much loved vinyl is now on my mp3 player. I was really impressed with the sound quality, on the mp3 file there is absolutely none of the crackle synonymous with records. Amazing!Elizabeth, Rochester - 3rd June 2010
I have tried something similar and recorded my tape and up loaded it to iTunes but it stayed as one whole file so I could not skip between tracks. How would this product be any different?Craig, Wrexham - 27th May 2010
Firebox says: It's all in the software. The EZ Vinyl Converter software provides options to specify track information. Simply add artist and album and it will automatically import the music directly to your iTunes library.
This device is just so simple and easy to use. I've tested it on both Windows XP and Mac OSX (10. 5) and it works a dream! Highly recommended if you want to record old cassettes or records onto MP3 :).Parm, London - 16th April 2010
Can I plug the connection into the headphone socket on my music centre as this is the only socket I have. Will this enable me to do what is necessary to get the music onto my computer?Jane, South Shields - 20th February 2010
Firebox says: Hi Jane, unfortunately you would need a phono / line input socket, not just the headphone socket.
