(Garlic Zoom - original)
Ideal for flavour freaks looking to minimise garlicky fingers and stinky surfaces, this nifty little gizmo makes chopping garlic fun and easy. Simply open the top, pop in a small to medium peeled clove and push the Zoom backwards and forwards on your worktop. The more you roll, the finer the garlic. Next, open the lid, give it a tap and watch in wonder (well, sort of) as the itty bitty garlic bits fall out. Genius!
As well its ingenious design the Garlic Zoom is a doddle to wash. Just rinse it under the tap or remove its sturdy stainless steel blade and put the components in the dishwasher.

Got the zoom, so decided to film it while cooking tea. Really could've used a gorillapod, but ended up balancing the camera on bowls and microwaves.

"It's like a little car for you garlic, and the more you drive it, the more finely chopped it becomes. And, as much as we like the pungent veg, we can't help but feel that this might come in handy for chopping any other herby substances you may have in your home"PC Format - Mar '09

I bought this little gadget for my fiancée and he's well chuffed! He just loves it, especially for when he makes curry and can not only finely chop the garlic, but also the ginger! :-) (after he's cut it into little cubes obviously)
Now he wants to buy about five or six more for his sister, mum and aunties! LOL
A great success overall!Danae, London - 21st February 2012
This is a kitchen must, had ours for a number of years and would so get another if parted from ours.Andy, Essex - 17th February 2012
This is a fab little gadget for making chopping garlic really easy! Also great for chopping up chillies without burning your fingers too :).Jude, Surrey - 7th November 2011
I use mine to finely chop POTATOES, no not really but I love it when Keith Lemon says "POTATO" as everybody else says it. Simplifies and de-stinkifies the chopping of garlic.
Only one small gripe, it can be tricky getting all the garlic out of the wee bugger, it's almost like it's demanding payment for doing all the work.Adam Caruth, Bangor, N.Ireland - 1st May 2011
The most amazing kitchen gadget ever - saves getting those horrid sticky fingers you tend to get when chopping garlic small - and stops it sticking to everything in sight!Jude, Surrey - 4th March 2011
I bought one of these when they first came out. I love it. I make a lot of Italian food and I love garlic so this saves me a good half an hour minimum throughout the week.Ben, Moscow - 13th December 2010
Would this work on onions? Cut up a bit first, obviously... I like my onion super super fine and it's an irritating job!Holly Green, Kent - 8th December 2010
I could not live without this indispensable bit of kit! It makes little fiddly jobs a piece of cake! I've used it to chop garlic, carrots (to hide them from my veg-avoiding hubby), and all manner of herbs, time-saving and easy! I could really not recommend this product enough!Rhi, Pontypridd - 14th November 2010
Pure genius! used to hate the job of cutting up garlic finely, to grate ginger and wearing gloves to cut up chillies. This little gizmo makes it all so quick and easy, and rather enjoyable. It is a bit fiddly to get all the bits of garlic out, I found a plastic coffee stirrer works wonders. But yes ideal for any garlic lovers that hate the job of preparing it!Michelle, Sunderland - 3rd November 2010
I am now on my third order for this wonderful gadget, not because it is broken after months of daily use but because everyone keeps taking my spare one!! It makes a fiddly, smelly job a joy! I wouldn't want to be without one.Ruth, Norfolk - 12th July 2010
