Portable Digital TV

Slim and sleek!

Isn't TV brilliant? There are so many great shows on so many great channels it's becoming impossible to tear yourself away from the ol' gogglebox. But now you don't have to because the amazing Portable Digital TV is here to save the day.

Forget fuzzy reception and crummy channel choice, this supermodel slim 4.3" media player features a built-in DVB-T receiver so you can watch digital Freeview TV on its quality 4.3" LCD screen wherever you may roam. Brilliant!

Armed with this chic little gizmo you can enjoy Loose Women at work, watch X Factor under the duvet or sing-along to CBeebies on the bus. The possibilities are endless.

Watch your own videos too (like our classic "Close Up Science" shown here!)

Portable Digital TV

Mini SD Card Slot

On the off-chance you tire of its amazing Freeview channels, this beautifully engineered bit of kit also acts as an MP4 video player, audio player and picture viewer. Simply pop in your media (using the Mini SD Card slot or the USB port) and you can gawp at your favourite movies and holiday snaps and listen to your latest tunes. It even acts as a digital radio.
Not 'arf!

Portable Digital TV

Touch sensitive controls

Touch sensitive buttons give this chic travelling companion a classy designer edge, whilst the rechargeable battery gives up to 3.5 hours viewing time in TV mode or 7.5 hours in video mode. Listen to your MP3s and you'll get a whopping 42.5 hours of sonic pleasure. Wow!

As well as all the relevant leads and doodahs, the Portable Digital TV comes complete with quality earphones and a soft carry case. And to think the only thing that used to come with a portable telly was backache, interference and a whopping great bill for the batteries.

The picture on the 4.3-inch screen is excellent, sound quality adequate and it is easy to use and set up. It has a built-in battery for power on the move and can also pick up FM radio, display digital pictures from the micro SD card slot, as well as play back MP3 tracks and MP4 videos."

Visitor Reviews...

visitor avatar Just to clear up any misunderstanding; as long as the user has a TV licence for their home, they can use the portable as long as it's powered only by internal batteries without requiring a further licence. Another licence is required if the user connects to mains, car battery or any other form of external power. Viewing free from an additional licence in a static caravan is permitted using external power as long as the user has a home licence, and no-one simultaneously views TV from the home address.
Duncan, Glasgow - 16th December 2010
visitor avatar So firebox, when you say I need a t. V licence, does that mean I need a separate licence for this, or does the t. V licence already payed for in my household count for this too, even if I use it outside or in someone elses house.
Lew, Liverpool - 15th November 2009
Firebox says: You only need one license to cover your premises (you can have as many televisions in the property as you like provided you have a TV license).
visitor avatar Living in the south of Ireland. . Dunno what the story with freeview tv is to be honest, can anyone tell me if this product will work? Im assuming it wont?
Baros, Ireland - 10th November 2009
Firebox says: Its not tested there, so its unlikely Baros.
visitor avatar Is it possible to upgrade it to accept micro-SD cards larger than 2GB ?
Philbert, C'bury, - 21st October 2009
Firebox says: Unfortunately not, sorry!
visitor avatar Can you download films from your pc onto this...Ta.
Gibbo, Notts - 6th October 2009
Firebox says: Yep!
visitor avatar Does anyone know if there is a car adaptor for re-charging?
Nik, Midlands - 26th August 2009
Firebox says: It doesn't come with one, but the charging port is standard so you may be able to buy one separately.
visitor avatar That looks good but can you get access to subtitles ?.
Steven Noad, Yorkshire - 9th July 2009
Firebox says: Unfortunately not at the moment.
visitor avatar ..so we don't need a TV license as long as we don't plug it into sockets? and turn it off when it run out of battery and needed to be charged?
Bowie, London - 4th May 2009
Firebox says: You're legally required to have a licence for the use of any television-receiving equipment - so yes you do need one!
visitor avatar This is possibly the greatest thing I've ever brought! It's extremely easy to use and has crystal clear picture, Seriously...BUY ONE!
Richard, Derby - 26th February 2009
visitor avatar That looks cool. Do you need a TV license though?
Anon., - 19th February 2009
Firebox says: Afraid so!
