description

We could point out that this gigantic fleece blanket is soft, light and ludicrously snuggly. But that's hardly a revelation, as blankets have been striving for snuggly-ness for as long as we've been wrapping ourselves up for warmth.

But like a prehistoric sea-creature slowly morphing into a monkey (we're not clear on the exact evolutionary process), it is the mutations that make The Slanket the dominant species in the blanket kingdom. You see, The Slanket has grown arms. Long, loose 100% polyester microfibre sleeves.

Completely machine washable, we're witness to the peak of the blanket evolutionary chain. Darwin would have been proud.

I have both a Slanket (for about 4yrs) and a Travel Slanket (about 1yr). I use both a lot. The fleece is much thicker than the knock-offs, it's worth spending the extra (no fluff). Size wise, the standard covers a double bed, and you can still use the arms. I have elasticated the arms, as I was getting cold wrists. I am 5'7 and can walk around in the Travel size. I use the Travel in the car and for taking away, as it comes in a bag (which can be used on your feet). I highly recommend them for everyone. Thank you for my Slankets!

I LOVE my slanket. I got it as a gift last Christmas and I've used it most days since, even in the summer! It's so warm and comforting after a long day at work, even if I'm not cold I can't help but get into my slanket and not move for some time! It's very soft, much better quality than the copy cat ones some other places are selling! Absolutely one of the best presents I've ever been given, I highly recommend it! If only it were socially acceptable to wear it to work... :(.

Firebox says: Hi Laura, thanks for this review, we're very pleased to hear you love your Slanket!
I was bought this for Christmas by my mum and dad, mostly because my room in my flat at uni is constantly cold (thanks to the two massive, single-glazed sash windows in the wall). I have well and truly fallen in love with it now, and find any excuse to wrap myself up in it! It's gorgeously warm, not too heavy and very, very soft. It is long, but that's not a bad thing, it means you can keep your feet warm too. To those of you who have tripped over your Slanket: Pick the end up whilst you're walking around! If you are walking around wearing something that is longer than your legs, you will at some point fall over it. It doesn't take much of a brain to work that out!

I was given a Slanket for Christmas, I love it, it is so cosy! I am wearing it now! I can type without having cold arms! hehe.

I bought the Slanket for my mum, and she loves it! Keeps her nice and toastie and saves on having the heating full blast. Another excellent buy from Firebox.

I LOVE MY SLANKET! I've had my Slanket nearly a year, it's amazing. It's the best thing about winter. I've never had something so comfy in my life. I refuse to take it off, I hate it when it has to be washed and I miss it in the summer. It's very good quality, I have washed it several times and it's still as soft. This year I'll be buying one for my daughter and other family members.
