These quirky, eco-friendly pencils make writing and sketching as much fun for your nose as it is for your eyes because they're infused with natural scents that waft up as you use them. And we're not talking eau de pretentious scents; we're talking Black Cherry, Bubble Gum, Cinnamon, Cotton Candy, Grape, Orange, Rootbeer, Tropical Blast, Very Berry, and Watermelon.
Yes, we know it's a crazy concept but once you start scribbling with Smencils you'll never want to smell that leady/woody aroma of a regular pencil again. It's actually rather inspiring. We've already sketched a picture of an orange tree, drawn a vineyard and written a screenplay based on the life of a sweetie magnate who invites all these kids to his facto...oh darn,

Amazing. Having now tested them all out, I can safely say they all smell delicious, although watermelon is definitely my favourite. My notebook now also smells yummy, and my hands smell even better.Nora, Glasgow - Apr '10
I picked up a pineapple Smencil not really knowing that I was buying something special - AND I LOVE IT! Never want to go back to normal pencils again. I love looking at the sharpenings and checking out the newspaper pics and writing. GOT TO COLLECT THEM ALL!JJ, London - Jul '09
AMAZING! Just the best product yet.
They ALL smell SOOOO good, I got my 1st packet a few weeks ago, and now I have 20 packs of 5!
I sold a pack for my school fund raiser and it went for 2 Pounds, I even let them test one out, I have the pencil ones and the colouring pencil ones. I have * Toasted Marshmallow

Firebox, I love you!! These are the best smelling things I have come across in my whole life! (and I wouldn't be surprised if they were best selling too!)I can't get enough of them, they smell so good, and hand on my heart, I can honestly say that I think they have improved my artistic skills...well, they make my sketchbooks smell much better anyway!
I love, love, love, love LOVE them! All my friends keep trying to nab them to have a go themselves...but I wouldn't let them stray anywhere further than my nose, or at least my pencil case :).
The only slight downside is that you can't pick your flavours, so, when I order my next batch of them, I might get some smencils which I already have, but I suppose that's the fun of the surprise really! And I can't complain.
Here are the sencils that I got, in order of my preference:
Cotton Candy (mmmmmmm!!!)
Tropical Burst (smells like sherbert !)
Very Berry (Very. Berry, nice!)
Watermelon (I've got to agree, I also love the smell of watermelon in the morning!)
Cinnamon (Smells like...cinnamon!)

I would honestly recommend these to EVERYBODY!! They all smell so good, you want to eat them. And they're good, because they're recyclable, so you can keep scribbling knowing that one less tree died because of you.
These would be great stocking fillers, (If you can bear to give them away!) and I think that Smencils are super-duper for everybody, young or old. Firebox, you have outstanding me with your great products yet again (and they got delivered the very next day, too!) and I am awarding you 5 stars out of 5.
Now, where are my Smencils, I need to get my hourly fix.... . :)

OMG! My friend gave me one as a present (cotton candy) and in maths it is literally glued to my nose! In class we all swap flavours and about 7 of us have them and all the other people are trying to catch a whiff of one! They are amazingly fruity, it's like someone has stuffed the flavour into the pencil literally! Its really tempting to eat them...!
