It's all very well chopping up food on some celebrity-endorsed bish bash bosh chopping board. But unless you've got a penchant for garlic-tinged desserts and fishy fruit salads, these classic wooden blocks are really rather rubbish. So sharpen your knives, put on your apron, tip your big white hat and yell 'Yes chef!' to Index Chopping Boards.
Stylish non-slip ABS case
Housed in a sleek, non-slip ABS storage case, these colour-coded chopping boards feature illustrated tabs to show which board should be used with which food type (vegetables, fish, raw meat and cooked food). This means you'll never have to worry about oniony apple pie or cross-contaminated ratatouille. Plus you needn't scrub your chopping board every time you switch food type. Genius.

With a set of Indexes on your work surface you'll wonder what you ever saw in smelly old wooden boards. And the filing system-style case is so smart you'll want keep it on display the whole time. So don't delay, chop chop and get ordering. As Gordon Ramsay would (never) say, Index Chopping Boards are the dog's flippin' doodahs, big boy!

I have seen these quite a few times in big shops, they look great. Shame they are a little small. Any chance of a bigger size firebox? Firebox Requester, Earth - 26th February 2011
I had these as a wedding gift and they are just fantastic! They stack neatly away, are hygenic and now no taste cross-overs! They slot away neatly in the stand. I love them together with my other Joseph Joseph products! :). Rhi Hunt, Pontypridd,Wales, UK - 16th October 2010
My husband bought these for me as a birthday present and as we had just moved into a new flat with a kitchen where space was limited, these were perfect. They stood flush against the wall and were compact, leaving plenty of work surface left to prepare tasty meals. Even better: No more fruit salad that tastes of sardines! Louise Jamesg Planty Of, Coventry - 31st August 2010
This is a great idea, but it's a shame that the tabs have pictures on them. Being a family of vegetarians it would be silly to buy it when two of the chopping boards have a meat and fish logo on them. Would be great in this came in a vegetarian version with chopping boards for fruit, vegetables, cooked foods and tofu, for example - or just to sell the chopping boards without pictures on them so you can colour code them yourself :). Emz, Somerset - 13th December 2009
Firebox says: This could definitely work and if the demand is there, then why not. So get lobbying!
Got a set of these for my birthday as a special request (not a good idea to buy your wife household items usually!) I asked for these after doing a food handling course and they are exactly what I needed! No more mixed flavours are asking the household member what they last chopped up! 10/10! Kaz, Bedford - 17th October 2009
Really Good product, very strong material, and hard wearing. The size of the product isn't too big either, would recommend to people who love to cook.... Hannah, South Wales - 7th October 2009
