Stonebake Pizza Oven

The bellissimo Stonebake Pizza Oven

We was-a gonna write-a thissa whole-a thing-a with an Italian accent. But that would be silly. Especially seeing as you no longer have to go to Italy to enjoy a genuine stonebaked pizza. And we're not talking about getting some bloke on a moped to deliver a soggy Margherita. We're talking about buying the bellissimo Stonebake Pizza Oven.

Stonebake Pizza Oven

Adjust the timer and grill settings

As well as an upper grill, this brilliant gizmo features a spinning stone element that imparts a unique stonebaked flavour to your favourite circular snacks. Simply pop in a pizza - frozen, fresh, pre-baked, whatever - adjust the dual timer, close the lid and Giovanni's your uncle. You can even watch the cheese bubbling via a viewing panel in the lid. Mmm...pizza.

Stonebake Pizza Oven

Stonebake or
deep dish options

The intense heat generated by this mains-powered baby delivers an authentic-tasting pizza with a gorgeously crispy base before you can say 'quattro formaggi'. (Well maybe a bit longer). Even a fresh pizza takes only 10 minutes. If you prefer your Giuseppe a little sloppier, just adjust the timer.

As soon as the Stonebake Pizza Oven starts to work its magic, the heady aroma of stonebaked dough fills the air. It's just like being in a Neapolitan pizzeria. You can almost hear the indecipherable chatter of chefs as they waggle clenched fingers and thumbs. Mamma mia!

Stonebake Pizza Oven

What's under the bonnet?

If you ever tire of pizza (as if), this idiot-proof appliance comes with a special deep dish for cooking all kinds of delicious snacks: from omelettes and pasties to quiches and croissants. Enormous ovens? Who needs 'em.

We really can't overstate how fantastically handy this handsome tabletop device is. You'll never order take-out pizza again. In fact the only order you need to make is right here. Just remember, when the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, it's not amore. It's a Stonebake Pizza Oven. Grazie e arrivederci!

visitor avatar My dad had always wanted an authentic pizza oven so my brother bought him this for his birthday. He was that impressed he bought 3 more as gifts for me and my 2 brothers for Christmas. I first wondered what all the fuss was about but after taking it home and using it I understand. The pizzas are GORGEOUS!! You can make them thick or thin as you like, you can make the pizza bases or buy them pre-made in all good supermarkets, you can add whatever you want and as much as you want. They only take 10mins (plus 10 mins to warm the thing up first). I haven't ordered a pizza from a takeaway since I got it and I don't think I will be again to be honest (i used to at least once a week!) it's saved me lots of money (and they're never greasy). Try not to get stuff on the stone plate as it smokes a bit next time you use it and can sting your eyes, the best thing is to use a flat blade and softly scrape any remainders off (you don't wash it or it ruins it). The other cool thing is the deep dish omelette pan that comes with it, I've never had a better omelette I swear! All in all this is a really good addition to the kitchen and not just another gadget that gets used once or twice and then lives in the cupboard for the rest of eternity. I'd give this 10/10 and I think you will to (especially if your a pizza conosseur).... . I just wish they did a bigger one to fit 2 pizzas in to save having to do them in shifts if cooking for family for example.... We had a family pizza session one afternoon but luckily we had 4 of these beauties on the go. :-D.

visitor avatar Not only does this shiny red thing look great in the kitchen, but it does a fantastic job of cooking both home-made and store-bought pizzas, in a fraction of the time it would take in the oven. The pizza comes out crispy and delicious, and the flavour imparted by the stone gets more noticeable after a few uses. If you're a pizza lover, I'd highly recommend this product - I'm getting hungry just writing this review.

visitor avatar Having fired this up for the first time, and put in a Goodfellas deepdish pizza after 6 minutes the whole kitchen was filled with smoke, the topping on the pizza was coming into contact with the upper heating element.
