MP3 Amp

Rock out from your desk!

Listening to digital music via piddly earphones or sleek but soulless speakers is about as un-rock 'n' roll as it gets. So why not redress the balance with a speaker that resembles a traditional guitar amp? It's as easy as a-one, a-two, a-one, two, three, four with the effortlessly cool MyTunes MP3 Amp.

This rockin' little 5W speaker looks just like the kind of thing Prince, Noel Gallagher or Angus Young might use if they were really, really titchy. (Yes, we realise they are really, really titchy but you catch our drift).

MP3 Amp

A dinky icon of rebellion

Designed to amplify the music trapped within MP3 players (or any music player with a 3.5mm jack) and computers, the nifty MyTunes features bass, treble and volume dials, so you can fine tune its output to perfection. They don't go all the way to eleven but they will allow you to Spinal Tap your way to sonic nirvana with a few subtle tweaks. Indeed, despite its diminutive stature and ludicrously low price tag, this dinky icon of rebellion is capable of chucking out some impressively crisp ear candy at considerable volume.

Controls

Playing your tunes via this classic-looking gizmo allows you to live out your rock 'n' roll fantasies without having to check into rehab or fib about your age down the wig shop. Better still, those of you with dubious musical taste will retain a smidgen of cred thanks to the visual distraction it provides. Even Coldplay and Cliff sound cool when they're blasting out of the Amp. Devil Woman? Yessss!

MP3 Amp

Powered by USB or batteries

Powered by 3x AA batteries or USB (lead provided), the MyTunes MP3 Amp is about as hip as portable speakers get. Use it to share music when you're out and about, or plonk it on your desk and make like a muso, lecturing minions on its rocktastic styling. You can even ram your Strat in it, pour bourbon on it, set it alight and chuck it at your drummer for all we care. After all, it's only rock 'n' roll, innit?

press review "Give your MP3 player a boost as you practice singing with this MP3 Amp. Most portable speaker systems sound tinny and hollow, but the MP3 Amp delivers good quality sound through its 5-watt speaker - and all in a classic retro amp-style design."

visitor avatar I wasn't expecting much from this speaker as I did have a high end Philips set before, but upon getting it I loved the looks and the sounds is incredible! Only problem I see is that there is not a way to hide the extra cable, but I am just being picky. Well worth the money :).
