Bleep bleep!
Standing 6.5" tall, this fully-licensed version of the greatest droid in the galaxy projects the time and date in bright red digits on to walls and ceilings at the touch of a button. He even beeps as he's doing it. It's ideal for mornings when you're still squinting from last night's Death Star explosion or you've got a hangover from Hoth. You can also adjust Artoo's 'legs' to set the angle of projection - a real bonus if you can't be bothered moving your head first thing.
Adjustable Droid legs
Of course even Artoo can't do anything about stupidly bright rooms, so there's also an LCD clock on his dumpy dustbin of a mid-section. And speaking of body-mounted bits and bobs, a mode button allows you to toggle between time, date, alarm and seconds - handy if you fancy timing how long it takes to hum the Imperial March before nodding off.
Small and cute

This is quite cool. The projection of the clock is very clear and works well in any dim/dark room. I had it showing on my far wall and it was clear enough to see. During the day its easy enough to read the mini LCD display. The only way to get the projection of the time to show is by pressing the projection button on and off or on and it will auto turn off in about 15 seconds. Only trouble is while the time is being projected R2 is making lots of noise, so if its the middle of the night and you want to know the time you cant project the time without waking up the rest of the house. Other then that, its a great product.Mehul, Nottingham - Dec '08
