How we spend our days is how we spend our lives. And that's why it's worth keeping track of those special moments that…hold on, this is starting to sound like some cliché-ridden daytime TV ad. And that simply won't do because My Life Story is one of the most innovative baby gifts we've ever seen.
My Life Story
My Life Story

The perfect baby gift!

Brought to you by those funky creatives over at Suck UK, My Life Story is basically a bumper 100 year diary in which to record the events of a lifetime; a kind of journal, photo album, autobiography and travelogue all rolled into one.

A perfect pressie for newborn babies, parents can cram this luxe tome with various stories, photos and achievements, from a description of baby's first tentative steps and gurglings to an account of their first few days at nursery.

My Life Story

Designated space for season, year and place

As baby grows up, he/she can start filling in the pages with…well, with anything they fancy: skills acquired, best friends made and binned, great days, crummy days, favourite movies, first kiss, worst kiss, life-changing gigs, silly pics, locks of hair, restaurant flyers, ambitions, things to do, aimless scribblings - the possibilities are endless. Besides, it's not the years in your life that count, it's the life in your years.

My Life Story also features a map of the world, so owners can tick off countries visited, favourite cities, oceans swum and wannago destinations. After all, life is a journey, blah, blah, blah. As well as a geographical map there's also a chart of the body. Use it to log the location of scars, ever-increasing waistlines, favourite bits of the bod - whatever. You can even doodle on a comedy moustache. And that's the beauty of My Life Story - owners can bung whatever they want in it.
My Life Story
Destined to become a prized possession for life, owners will never forget the clever old stick who bought them My Life Story. And that's precisely why you should stop reading this and start hitting the Buy button. Like they say, life is what happens while you're busy making other plans.

visitor avatar I bought this for my sister for her 21st birthday. While it's the ideal gift for babies, I thought it a really nice sentiment for her journey into adulthood. The quality and content of this diary is simply outstanding and it's the best value for money I have ever spent on an important present.

Firebox says: What a lovely idea Francesca! I hope your sister fills it with lots of lovely memories!
visitor avatar This is a fantastic Idea, that I purchased for my 4 year old. To be able to put everything in one place, photos, memories, notes, letters her first time she was able to write her own name is in there, the first time she wrote MUMMY is in there, along with her measurements, and letters from all her relatives, including those that have passed away. Brings a tear to my eye thinking about it, but I plan to give this to her on her 18th Birthday when she is old enough to appreciate such a thing, just wish my parents had done one for me when I was younger. Recommended 150%, just get it. Fits nicely in the bookcase too!

visitor avatar With the dawn of the Facebook and MySpace taking up too much time and space this brings things back to the real world and revives what is best about keeping a journal or diary. Being able to flick back over a year or decade will make this the best thing to be held within your library. A must for anyone starting out on a new life whether it be their own or a life they have created.
