In case you hadn't noticed, the world's a mess. Soggy ice caps, shrinking rainforests, punctured ozone layer - it's enough to make you want to give Al Gore a great big hug. But hold that thought because, in the words of Whitney, we believe the children are our future. And that's precisely where Idbids come in.

These delightfully huggable 9" plush characters are on a mission to teach kids how to make the Earth happy, healthy and green. And we don't mean they drone on celeb-style about driving a Prius. We mean they encourage children to take small, practical steps that can make a big difference to our planet.

Each cute little Idbid comes with an illustrated story book that takes children on a fascinating journey of eco-discovery. Using simple language and entertaining situations Idbids explain the state of the planet and the various things kids can do to help. (Yes, maybe Dubya could do with one).


Once little ones have read the book they can refer to the included Field Guide containing a check list of small but potentially planet-saving steps they can take each day - anything from turning off the tap when brushing teeth to recycling, switching off lights and using both sides of the paper when colouring in.

There are three Idbids to collect and each one is dedicated to a particular environmental element: Scout is the fluffy white cloud who knows all about air pollution, Lola is the flower who teaches children about trees and plants, and Waverly is the bright blue water drop who cares about oceans, rivers and lakes.
