WildCharge

iPhone adapter

Power sent straight to your gadgets without needing to plug them in? This is witchcraft of the highest order - electricity needs a cable, surely? Not any more it doesn't. The WildCharge is an incredible gadget that's about to break the shackles of normal, everyday charging. Every time you lay your mobile, BlackBerry or iPod on the WildCharge mat, it'll transfer all the juice you need directly to the device without you having to do a thing.

WildCharge

Charge up to five devices
at once!

Let's face it, we're all losers when it comes to trying to find the right chargers. Every time you buy a new gizmo, it needs a new one, and pretty soon you end up with a cupboard full of the blighters without having a clue which one is which. Who hasn't had that terrible moment when your phone cuts off mid-conversation and you're forced to dive into a pile of nondescript cables to locate exactly what you need? It's worse than wrestling oiled eels with your hands tied behind your back. Fret no longer, for WildCharge is ready to clear up the mess on your behalf.

WildCharge

8300 BlackBerry Pearl Skin

How does such sorcery work, you ask? Pretty simple, really. The WildCharge mat is a flat, thin surface with conductive bars running across it that are fed from a power cable. The WildCharge comes with adapters that you can place on your mobile, BlackBerry or iPod that bridge the gap between your battery and the mat. When you look, the adapters have four tiny metal contacts that create a circuit when they're placed on the mat - thanks to their smart positioning, you can place the device anywhere and in any orientation on the mat and you'll still be charging up! It's as simple as dropping a brick - though nowhere near as dangerous...

WildCharge

Mains powered

Of course, when you're talking about controlling our buzzing, crackling friend called electricity, you want to be on the safe side. And you don't get safer than the WildCharge. The current only passes between the adapters and the mat, so you can put a cat on it if you like without having to worry about singed whiskers! You can spill drinks on it, lean on it - the only shocking thing about WildCharge is the sheer genius of it all.

WildCharge

The Powerdisc

You've got the green light to clear those messy cables and chargers out as soon as you get your hands on the WildCharge: it can power up to five devices at any one time, with the same speed as you'd get from their normal charger. All you need to worry about is keeping your computer powered up for long enough to order one!

visitor avatar Will this charge up my phone? I have a Samsung Blade?
Kieran Burke, Accrington - 19th April 2010
Firebox says: It will charge Samsung phones which power off Mini or Micro USB leads. If thats the case for the Samsung Blade, then yes it will.
visitor avatar I have a Nokia 6300 and am about to get a 6303. What do I need to enable wire free charging with this device?
K J Reynolds, East Yorkshire - 18th April 2010
Firebox says: I would suggest the Charging Pad and 7 Mobile connectors which should be compatible with either phone so long as they charge via Mini and Micro USB
visitor avatar Will a case be coming out for the Blackberry 9000?
Anna, Liverpool - 8th April 2010
Firebox says: Not as far as we know at the moment.
visitor avatar This is a great idea, I was just wondering, does it charge the itouch, if so, using which acessory?
Alex, Congleton, Cheshire - 18th March 2010
Firebox says: There used to be an iTouch Skin but unfortunately we cannot get hold of any more stock of this.
visitor avatar Will it work with iPhone 3GS?
Ali Rauf, Milton Keynes, United Kingdom - 12th February 2010
Firebox says: Yes it will. It's compatible with all the iPhones.
visitor avatar Does this support the controllers for wii?
Jacob Brown, Poole - 26th November 2009
Firebox says: Sorry it doesn't.
visitor avatar Can I charge my Samsung Omnia on it.
Patrick Hannon, West Midlands - 26th November 2009
Firebox says: Yes with the Powerdisc.
visitor avatar Is the case for the iPhone 3g only available in silicone or do they do a hardcase like the powermat?
Dave, Newcastle - 11th November 2009
Firebox says: We only sell this version unfortunately.
visitor avatar Does this mean if I am just getting this to charge my iphone and itouch, I dont need to get the charging pad and iphone skin?! if not, when I charge them, do I need to remove the cases I have on them?
Donna Tam, Edinburgh - 7th November 2009
Firebox says: Yes you will need to remove any case you have on it and use the special Wildcharge skin to ensure it charges.
visitor avatar Will this charge my DS? Also would I need to buy an adapter for my Nokia 7510 Supernova?
Amy, Hampshire - 31st October 2009
Firebox says: Nintendo DS consoles which charge via mini USB can be charged using the WildCharge. DS consoles which DON'T charge via mini USB unfortunately do not have the right connections to charge at this point in time. Adaptors are sold separately to the charging pad. The PowerDisc charges most Nokia phones. If your Nokia uses a 2mm adaptor, you can also purchase this. Check your phone's manual to see which adaptor it uses.
