Unless you've spent the last few years on Pluto with your head rammed in a cement mixer, you'll know that rechargeable R/C helicopters are all the rage. Hardly surprising because these titchy whirlybirds are great fun, easy to fly and seriously addictive. But isn't it about time you stepped up to the next level with a Bladez 3D R/C Helicopter?
Despite its faintly ridiculous name (sounds like a member of Blazin' Squad), this is one helluva chopper. Because unlike its smaller, more rudimentary and frankly punier stablemates it's capable of outdoor flight. Featuring fancy-pants 3-channel control, the ready-to-fly Bladez 3D is all about smooth handling, precision, power and advanced flight manoeuvres.
First time pilots need not apply because this robustly constructed beast has been designed with intermediate to advanced flyers in mind. In fact it reminds us of one of those old-school petrol-driven monsters. The difference is it won't explode if it crashes in the bedroom. Even so, we don't recommend taking it for a spin in a small room as it's liable to scalp the cat and rip your Colonel Kilgore posters to shreds.
As well as precise 360° movement and smooth hovering performance, the Bladez 3D boasts an intelligent R/C system that avoids interference with other R/C users. And that's just as well because fellow flyers will want to take command of this brawny 'copter by any means necessary.
A 30 minute charge will give you 8 minutes flying time, which is more than enough to hone your skills and re-enact your piloting fantasies. Just remember you'll be doing all this outdoors so you might want to tone down the 'Aargh, I'm going down' pilot-speak. However, big shades and a leather blouson remain obligatory. So hurry up and get ordering. Our shipment of Bladez 3Ds is cleared and ready for take off. Who says the ceiling's the limit?

Great little helicopter id you want the next stage up from the little picooz type ones, great indoors, but gets influenced a lot outdoors by even a very light breeze. Mike Buck, Fleet, UK - 4th January 2010
