Ordered yesterday at 12, arrived today at 9.45. Super fast delivery.
I haven't had a chance to use it yet as it's just arrived, but first impressions are that it can hold a lot of coffee and the lid stays on very securely.
Thanks Firebox for another great buy!!!Oliver, Northampton - Oct '08
Great product, bought five in total as the 1st one didn't bounce and three for presents! Can you get the spare lids in stock please? The company that makes them does a black lid too. Thanks.Bogger, Oxfordshire - Jun '09
Nice product. Kept my coffee at a nice temprture. My only problem with it is that it hold ever so slightly less than the paper cups at work, and the coffee machine is programed to fill them almost to the top. With this it fills it right to the brim, so it overflows ever so slightly. This means brown streaks on the cup and a wet hand on me.
Its a shame because other than that it's almost perfect.Mat, UK - Mar '09
Fantastic product - got a few remarks from work colleagues! There is only two problems with this cup!
1. I burnt my mouth as it kept the drink hot for longer then I expected.
2. There is no air hole in the lid so I carefully poked a hole in it myself. Careful if you plan to copy, it did start to crack rather then have a hole but I rectified that!Scott, Stratford-Upon-Avon - Jan '09
I've just bought this item a few days ago, and it is surprisingly good! When I
first opened it, I was worried about the naff chemical smell from the plastic
top, but this washes off easily in hot water, and is not an issue. The lid
fits securely, and at no time does it feel like it is going to come off when
you drink from it - it's actually better than the ones on the TRUE paper cups,
as the top isn't brittle, and not liable to crack. The cup has a good
grip/feel to it, plus it insulates the drink very well - keeping it much hotter
than a real paper cup would - plus no pesky '3rd degree burn' heat transfer to
your hand! The outside does get a bit grubby if you have newspaper ink on your
fingers, or you've been a bit careless with the coffee making process (or
you've had too much coffee and your hands are shaking) - but it cleans off well
when you wash it, so no problem there. I would definitely recommend this item,
and I'd also REALLY recommend the AeroPress coffee maker
(http://www. Firebox. Com/product/1320/AeroPress-Coffee-Maker) to go with it -
quality coffee in seconds, literally! Well, no point in having this mug if
your coffee is the crap instant kind, is there? If you buy some decent coffee
(my favourite is the Star**cks Columbian blend, from Sains***ys - about £4,
enough for 20 mugs approx), the coffee result is the same as, or even slightly
superior, to what you can get on the high street - plus literally after you've
had about 10 to 20 mugs (just under £50 for both items), you're pretty much
broken even, price wise! (for me, that took about 2 days, and I have the
caffeine shakes to prove it!) Thereafter, you're saving money! Take these to
work and let your friends wonder how you're getting this quality coffee all the
time!
And then the inevitable begging and envy sets in.... "it's SUCH a bore.... Lol!"
I'm thinking of getting another for home, as well as work, because I just can't
stomach the dish water that ANY instant coffee is, in comparison - so I guess
that means another AeroPress, too? But I might have to switch to decaf.... .
I'm getting a little jumpy and the huge purple spots in front of my eyes are
obscuring my view of the giant pink elephants I can suddenly now see in my
bedroom - strange, when did I buy them???Richard, Somewhere - May '08
This cup had been great up until the point I knocked it over by accident - it only tipped over onto a work surface but broke the whole way around the top - the double layer doesn't stand up to well to the odd accident, and as it's quite tall and thin its prone to this, well, if you are clumsy like me I guess!Dave, Devon - Jun '09
