As seen on... This Morning You can buy all kinds of exotic plants to brighten up your garden, but most of the pots you put 'em in are duller than a Monty Don monologue. Worse still, unless you dip them in luminous paint, you can't see them at night. And that's exactly why the Solar Powered Plant Pot is such a great idea.

Solar Powered Plant Pot: Colour changing

The colour changing
Solar Powered Plant Pot

As its name suggests, this stylish designer pot soaks up the sun's rays in order to charge an internal battery that powers several built-in LEDs. As night falls the entire pot begins to glow, adding an enchanting touch of magic to your garden/patio. You can even choose between a pot that glows constant white or one that gently phases through a kaleidoscope of gorgeous colours.

Ground Spike and
Solar Cell

But what if the pot is shaded by trees, walls or fences, we hear you ask? No problem because its solar cell is on a separate spike connected to the pot via a 3m cable. Simply stick it in the ground and hide the cable. Genius, and no mains wiring required. What's more the whole shebang is splashproof to protect against the gorgeous British summer.

Solar Powered Plant Pot

Now find the perfect spot!

The length of time the pot glows is dependent on the amount of sunlight the solar panel is exposed to during the day, but in the UK you're looking at about 6-8 hours in the summer and 2-4 hours in the winter - more than enough for your average evening garden soiree.

Guaranteed to elicit plenty of 'oohs' and 'aahs' from gobsmacked guests, the Solar Powered Plant Pot is a brilliant way to brighten up any outdoor space come nightfall. And unlike many al fresco light sources it's eco-friendly to boot. So what are you waiting for? Get ordering and show 'em how your garden glows.

How it works:

Stick the Solar Cell into a "sunny area" and connect to the plant pot to start charging... in the evening you will have a glowing garden!
