Trekkies are not exactly renowned for their beer-swilling, party-hearty shenanigans. But don't let that put you off the so-nerdy-it's-cool Star Trek Bottle Opener because it really is the ultimate geek-chic drinking accessory.

Star Trek Bottle Opener

It Khan open synthehol
bottles no problem!

Modelled on the legendary starship captained by James T. Kirk, this sturdy steel opener's ongoing mission is to explore strange new kitchens; to seek out pesky bottles and to boldly open what no opener has opened before. Maybe that's an exaggeration but it's sure to attract attention whenever you grasp its sleek nacelles and crack open a beer (or Romulan ale) with its lid-biting saucer section.

Star Trek Bottle Opener

It's a bottle opener Jim, but not as we know it!

As well as its supreme practicality, the Starship Enterprise Bottle Opener serves as a constant tribute to the most iconic pretend spacecraft in televisual history. Better still it's embossed with the legendary NCC-1701 registration, so you can be sure you're opening your bottle of wallop with a Shatner-era vessel. And that's just as well because judging by his, erm, interesting cover of Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, Captain Kirk is the only member of Starfleet who likes a drink.

Star Trek Bottle Opener

Boldly going where no bottle opener has gone before. Make it so!

Star Trek Bottle Opener

Classic detailing...

Of course any product that combines beer with Star Trek is bound to lead to a few amusing opening ceremonies, so why not lace yours with some relevant quotes. We find yelling 'Cap'n, she cannae take it!' in an unconvincing Scottish accent whilst popping lids can be a real ice breaker*. You can even Shatnerise proceedings and speak like every. Word. Is. Its. Own. Sentence.

Star Trek Bottle Opener

Spocktacular design...

Even if you don't know your Tribbles from your Romulans, the Starship Enterprise Bottle Opener is guaranteed to enhance any drinking session. And when it's not busy opening beers you can wheesh it around the room singing that celebrated theme tune. So what are you waiting for? Hailing frequencies are open and our transporter room is ready to energize. 'It's lager, Jim, but not as we know it.'

*The term 'ice breaker' does mean when everyone laughs, points at you, then walks off, doesn't it?

visitor avatar I got this bottle opener for my self, thinking it would be cool and all. Well my mates at work might have made fun of me saying it was geeky(!) but I had the last laugh! My real friends were well excited! :) In fact, one of them liked it so much, I'm considering buying him one too. It will provide him with hours of amusement! :D And of course, lets not forget to mention that apart from the fact that it's a spaceship, it's actually a very good and sturdy bottle opener ;).
