"The cuffs are much less bulky than a traditional D-lock, fold up smaller and are flexible enough to use with most bike racks and railings. They're so robust that they even come with a lifetime guarantee."The Sunday Times - Mar '08
"This handcuff-style lock not only provides a hard-to-beat locking system, but is also a visual taunt for any would-be bike thieves."The Independent - Mar '08

Fab lock, looks cool too, perfect security for my Harley Davidson.David, Cork, Ireland - Mar '08
Surely these aren't a great lock.... I know when I lock my bike up I have to put my chain through my wheels as well as the frame to ensure that no one nicks the wheel... Maybe the designers could improve on this idea cos it looks like such an amazing novelty!Rebecca Illingworth, Putney - Mar '08
Firebox says: You can still do this with the Bike Cuffs. Take a look at one of ours pics on the product page ;)
Surely you can just snap the chain if you try to bend it like a stick.Oggy, Devon - Jul '09
Firebox says: These are really strong Oggy! Pivoting Link prevents a fixed anchor point, taking away the use of leverage to defeat them.
Is it me or is there one huge flaw waiting to be spotted.
Can this be broken with a simple "Chain tool", "Link extractor" whatever you want to call it.Matthew, Madrid, Spain - Aug '08
Firebox says: This isn't your average chain Matthew! The links are connected in a way that prevents any extractors taking out a link.
Surely a standard pair of bolt-cutters would cut through these ?Ken, Hackney, London. - Jun '08
Firebox says: Of course nothing is totally resistant if the person is that persistent! So if you used a bolt cutter/chainsaw/pirate sword then yes the mighty Bike Cuffs may be thwarted! However these bad boys are hardcore tested to stand up to the best, so standard bolt cutters will struggle and hopefully in this time someone will spot the thief, wrestle them to the ground and call the police!
