You'll never feel lonely at
your desk again!
Bright LEDs in Tengu's sleek rectangular face respond to any sound, so as well as gurning away to the music you play, this hip little square also moves its lips as you merrily type away. Tengu will even lip sync as you speak (although chatting to a USB peripheral, albeit an über-stylish one, is not something we'd recommend).
Blow on Tengu's face to wake him up |
|
Play music and watch him join in |
|
Blow on the mic to change his face |
To activate Tengu simply blow. You heard, blow. Then all you have to do is make some noise. Yes, we know it's all a bit strange but that's the idea. Believe us, once you witness Tengu's cute facial contortions you'll be totally mesmerised. Work? What work?
Plug in the USB to your
Mac or PC
With over 14 different facial expressions, Tengu is infinitely more emotive than your average office bod and is guaranteed to cheer you up every time you clap eyes on it. Of course there are other, more useful ways to employ your USB ports but none of them combine music, miming and dodgy face-pulling. And if that's not reason enough to hit the Buy button we don't know what is.
Some of Tengu's many faces. Which one is your favourite?

"These sit on your desktop, jack in the USB port and make all sorts of different faces depending on mood. Plus, each Tengu lip-syncs to any music it hears, as if performing at some tiny desktop karaoke contest. They've now added enormous hair into the mix, to give your previously bald pals even more personality."Zoo - Jul '09
"It's difficult to put your finger on why this is hilarious - but it is... calculated to turn responsible adults into giggling children."The Daily Telegraph - Apr '08

"Blow on his face to wake him up and the pixel-faced scamp will lip-sync to the tunes issuing from your PC. Blow on the mic to change his face options. Wonder at the pointlessly cool nature of technology."Zoo - Apr '08

I bought a tengu for a friend as a birthday present, and he's so cool I regret not keeping him myself :D
Also, left him going all night and he started doing all sorts of weird animations beyond the lip-syncing, was way cool.George, Bristol - Apr '08

Tengu has kept me company through many lonesome times. Sitting at the computer at 2 in the morning doing geography coursework used to be so depressing, now with my friend Tengu it's so much more fun! Thank you Firebox for giving me a friend! Well worth the money!Jack, Peterborough - May '08
