I just received the Carnivours Kit and I am a bit disapointed by the quality of the Venus Fly Trap seeds. There was barely any usable seeds in the package, most of them were broken.Xavier, France - 26th April 2012
Firebox says: Hello Xavier, sorry to hear that, please drop us an email to info@firebox.com with your order details so we can resolve this for you.
I bought this for the other half for Christmas, but sadly the fly traps did not grow. It seems very difficult to grow the fly traps, so wouldn't recommend buying that particular one.Liam, Leeds - 25th April 2012
Firebox says: Hey Liam, yes unfortunately the Venus fly traps are the more difficult ones to grow, they require the right amount of heat and humidity otherwise they will not grow. However, drop us an email with your order details and we will look into what we can do for you on this occasion.
I have given up on my grow it kit. It didn't work. I would not recommend buying this.Andrew Herd, Armadale - 26th June 2011
All you have to do is follow the three steps and you will have your own home grown plants.Adil Hameed, Birmingham - 16th May 2011
I am just being curious again. I wanted to ask if you have tested this product yourself???Andrew Herd, Armadale - 21st February 2011
Firebox says: Yes, the Herb Garden is my favourite!
I have another question. My carnivorous grow it kit is about to arrive and I have just heard that these plants have to be grown in a heated plant warmer. The problem is that I cant afford one and I have no space for one. I just need confirmation that these plants will grow by using the equipment that you send out.Andrew Herd, Armadale - 21st February 2011
Firebox says: The kits contain everything you need to get growing Andrew.
I have just ordered the Venus Fly Trap but I have one question. I have been told that these plants can only be grown in peat so that means they wont grow in the compost disks. Is this true???Andrew Herd, Armadale - 19th February 2011
I was just wondering what type of tea leaves and coffee beans are in the pack?Melissa, Kent - 27th October 2010
Firebox says: Unfortunately the Tea & Coffee Grow it has now been discontinued - sorry about that.
Just about to order the vegetable set and I'm really excited!! One question though - are the vegetables you grow actually edible?Elina, Egham - 19th September 2010
Firebox says: Certainly!
These kits are great for new green-fingered peeps! I got two of the kits a couple of months ago, and have only just planted them. Within a week the herbs started sprouting - I felt such a sense of achievement! A mini garden in my loft!! The kits are well equipped and the instructions are thorough :) I have started blogging my progress with the herbs to demonstrate the ease of growing the plants. I'd also like to take the opportunity for thanking firebox for their excellent customer service (once again!) and swift response to my need for help! <3Kylarai, London - 6th April 2010
