This video shows the Vuzix virtual reality head tracking in action - allowing me to look around in the game (Armed Assault), and also making me look like The Terminator! Bear in mind Armed Assault is not even on Vuzix's list of compatable games - which proves you can make them work for just about anything! Near the end of the video I demonstrate how it is possible to use head tracking AND your monitor! I made the motion settings slower and just put the Vuzix on my head. So I can look around within the monitor frame!

visitor avatar Amazing product! Great picture and world perfectly with iPhone and iPad. Battery life is brilliant as well. I have used them during travel, on holiday by the pool, in the garden, etc. Light shield is required when it's very sunny. Would recommend them highly! I bought another pair for the missus.
Sander, London - 27th January 2012
Firebox says: Great review Sander! we are glad you like them!
visitor avatar I have a few questions... 1. Does the 3D work with a nvidia graphics card? 2. Will I need to buy the nvidia play software to get the 3D working? 3. Do these have HDMI 1. 4 and do I need to buy a 1. 4 cable to get the 3d working? 4. Can I only get the 3d working on HDMI or will it work through VGA/composite Note: I intend to play games using the nvidia stereoscopic and nvidia play drivers (i do not want the 3d feature for videos).
MrMoo, Birmingham UK - 25th January 2012
Firebox says: That's a bit too technical for us I'm afraid MrMoo, best give the manufacturers tech support a call for more info: 0844 477 2977
visitor avatar Once I got my glasses into focus and set up they were great, playing xbox is also pretty good and made even better with 3d support. A problem with 3d and xbox is that some games only let you view 3d when using a hdmi cable. Also my glasses came with a scratch on the right tv lens which is pretty annoying but cant be seen when wearing them.
Liam, Harrogate - 13th January 2012
Firebox says: Hey Liam, sorry to hear one of the lenses is scratched. If you would like to return them for a free replacement then please drop us an email to: info@firebox.com, quoting your order details.
visitor avatar Does it come with the correct cables to connect to the Xbox 360?
Liam Scott, Harrogate - 2nd January 2012
Firebox says: Hey Liam, all wrap products come a standard with RCA (red/white/yellow) connectors. These can be connected directly to most devices with a video output i.e DVD players etc, however for an xbox 360 you will need to buy a interface cable. This will need to be connected to the xbox and the red white and yellow connectors on the eyewear.
visitor avatar How does the 3d work? Can I play batman in 3d on my ps3 and watch my TT 3d bluray ?
Glenn, Birmingham - 26th December 2011
Firebox says: Hi Glenn, as long as watch your watching was made for 3D, you'll be good to go!
visitor avatar Does anyone know where it is possible to get the Eyeshield from in the UK? The full product name I think is: "Vuzix iWear Immersive Eyeshield". It does not seem to be on Firebox or another well-known gadgety site (4 letters, beginning with "P" and being a ". Com"). If anyone can help me source it that would be greatly appreciated. I need it for a 230. Thanks.
Ronnie,, Hemel Hempstead - 18th December 2011
Firebox says: Hi Ronnie, they are available from Vuzix themselves: http://store.vuzix.co.uk/acatalog/iWear_Accessories.html
visitor avatar Hi, does the 280 work with other smart phones like the htc in perticular and also are they coming with the hdmi adaptor in 2012?
Stephen, Reading - 15th December 2011
Firebox says: Hey Stephen, the wrap 280’s will work with any mobile device that has the facility to output video content from the 3.5mm headphone jack. We don't think that the HTC handset has the capacity to do this though. Also the HDMI interface box will only be sold as an accessory once released in spring of this year.
visitor avatar Im looking to purchase a pair for xmas for my partner, which pair is more compatable with an xbox 360 he plays live often I dont want to purchase the wrog ones.
Stacey, South Shields - 12th December 2011
Firebox says: Hi Stacey, the 230, 280 Widescreen and 920 are all compatible with XBox 360. The biggest difference between these is the size of the display, so it really depends on your preferences and your price range.
visitor avatar Does the wrap round glasses 920 work with a iPad2?
Steve Brice, Stevenage - 10th December 2011
Firebox says: Hi Steve, they certainly should!
visitor avatar Will the 280 Widescreen work with glasses on?
Ben, UK - 4th December 2011
Firebox says: Hi Ben, You can use the 280`s with glasses, you will need to adjust the nose piece though
