NEW: Vuzix Wrap, it's the future!
Apart from welding a giant plasma to the end of your hooter and chucking a black sheet over your head, we can think of no better way to completely immerse yourself in games and movies. Whether you're into iPod vids, DVDs or the latest multiplayer games, we've got a Vuzix viewer for you:
Vuzix Wrap 230
Versatile viewer
Perfect for hooking up to portable DVD players, gaming systems, iPods and iPhones, Wrap 230 contain a virtual (60Hz picture) display equivalent to a 46" screen viewed from 10ft. Seeing is disbelieving. There's also built-in focus for each eye; perfect for those of you that wear glasses. What's more, these sleek babies feature on-screen video and audio controls. And don't worry if you're a Peter Jackson fan because a two AA batteries provides up to 6 hours of viewing juice, and two lithium batteries gives up to 16 hours. Epic!
Vuzix Wrap 280
Widescreen wonders, regular shades!
Despite looking like cool sports shades, Wrap 280s pack a serious technological punch. These discreet bad boys display both 2D and 3D video in 4:3 and 16:9 ratios via twin high-resolution 384 x 240 LCD widescreen displays. Slip them on and prepare to be gobsmacked as you gawp at a virtual display equivalent to a 51” screen viewed from 9ft. Compatible with almost any video-spewing device, including the iPhone, Wrap 280s will crank out up to 6 hours of video from a pair of AA alkaline batteries. What’s more, these smart cyber-shades feature on-screen video and audio controls. Wow!
Vuzix Wrap 920
The big picture - without the big shades!
If you're looking for the ultimate big screen experience without looking like Geordi off Star Trek's biggest fan, look no further than Wrap 920s. Fashioned to resemble regular sunglasses, these sleek shades are capable of replicating the effect of a huge 67" screen viewed from approximately 9ft. Wow! Despite their lack of heft, these versatile specs are compatible with almost any video device, from iPods, iPhones and portable DVD players to camcorders and gaming systems. Believe us, once you've watched a movie in crystal clear high resolution 2D and 3D via twin widescreen displays, you'll never want to take your 920s off - except perhaps to rub your eyes in total amazement.

This video shows the Vuzix virtual reality head tracking in action - allowing me to look around in the game (Armed Assault), and also making me look like The Terminator! Bear in mind Armed Assault is not even on Vuzix's list of compatable games - which proves you can make them work for just about anything!
Near the end of the video I demonstrate how it is possible to use head tracking AND your monitor! I made the motion settings slower and just put the Vuzix on my head. So I can look around within the monitor frame!

Amazing product!
Great picture and world perfectly with iPhone and iPad. Battery life is brilliant as well.
I have used them during travel, on holiday by the pool, in the garden, etc. Light shield is required when it's very sunny.
Would recommend them highly! I bought another pair for the missus.Sander, London - 27th January 2012
I have a few questions...
1. Does the 3D work with a nvidia graphics card?
2. Will I need to buy the nvidia play software to get the 3D working?
3. Do these have HDMI 1. 4 and do I need to buy a 1. 4 cable to get the 3d working?
4. Can I only get the 3d working on HDMI or will it work through VGA/composite
Note: I intend to play games using the nvidia stereoscopic and nvidia play drivers (i do not want the 3d feature for videos).MrMoo, Birmingham UK - 25th January 2012
Once I got my glasses into focus and set up they were great, playing xbox is also pretty good and made even better with 3d support. A problem with 3d and xbox is that some games only let you view 3d when using a hdmi cable. Also my glasses came with a scratch on the right tv lens which is pretty annoying but cant be seen when wearing them.Liam, Harrogate - 13th January 2012

Does anyone know where it is possible to get the Eyeshield from in the UK? The full product name I think is: "Vuzix iWear Immersive Eyeshield".
It does not seem to be on Firebox or another well-known gadgety site (4 letters, beginning with "P" and being a ". Com").
If anyone can help me source it that would be greatly appreciated. I need it for a 230.
Thanks.Ronnie,, Hemel Hempstead - 18th December 2011
