Immerse yourself
Ingenious optical trickery allows all Vuzix iWear to replicate the effect of watching a big screen from a safe viewing distance. Don't ask us how- all we know is it's like having a high-quality home cinema grafted on your retinas. What's more these hi-tech specs are 3D enabled for automatic 2D/3D control. Unbelievable!
NEW: Vuzix Wrap, it's the future!
Apart from welding a giant plasma to the end of your hooter and chucking a black sheet over your head, we can think of no better way to completely immerse yourself in games and movies. Whether you're into iPod vids, DVDs or the latest multiplayer games, we've got a Vuzix viewer for you:
Vuzix Wrap 230
Versatile viewer
Perfect for hooking up to portable DVD players, gaming systems, iPods and iPhones, Wrap 230 contain a virtual (60Hz picture) display equivalent to a 46" screen viewed from 10ft. Seeing is disbelieving. There's also built-in focus for each eye; perfect for those of you that wear glasses. What's more, these sleek babies feature on-screen video and audio controls. And don't worry if you're a Peter Jackson fan because a two AA batteries provides up to 6 hours of viewing juice, and two lithium batteries gives up to 16 hours. Epic!
Vuzix Wrap 280
Widescreen wonders, regular shades!
Despite looking like cool sports shades, Wrap 280s pack a serious technological punch. These discreet bad boys display both 2D and 3D video in 4:3 and 16:9 ratios via twin high-resolution 384 x 240 LCD widescreen displays. Slip them on and prepare to be gobsmacked as you gawp at a virtual display equivalent to a 51” screen viewed from 9ft. Compatible with almost any video-spewing device, including the iPhone, Wrap 280s will crank out up to 6 hours of video from a pair of AA alkaline batteries. What’s more, these smart cyber-shades feature on-screen video and audio controls. Wow!
Vuzix Wrap 920
The big picture - without the big shades!
If you're looking for the ultimate big screen experience without looking like Geordi off Star Trek's biggest fan, look no further than Wrap 920s. Fashioned to resemble regular sunglasses, these sleek shades are capable of replicating the effect of a huge 67" screen viewed from approximately 9ft. Wow! Despite their lack of heft, these versatile specs are compatible with almost any video device, from iPods, iPhones and portable DVD players to camcorders and gaming systems. Believe us, once you've watched a movie in crystal clear high resolution 2D and 3D via twin widescreen displays, you'll never want to take your 920s off - except perhaps to rub your eyes in total amazement.

Imagine having a 52in TV shoved up against your face...
Vuzix's iWear glasses let you watch TV or play games on two tiny ultra-sharp OLED Screens that produce an image equivalent to a vast flatscreen a few feet away.Live (Mail On Sunday) - Apr '09
Visitor Reviews...
Both the review and packaging of this product contain an almost fatal error. There should definitely be a disclaimer that reads: Warning. Product may blow your mind. Both metaphorically and literally. Yes that's right kids, it's that cool. You'll be the envy of, well everyone you know. Because no-one else you know owns these, because they're not cool enough, and they're not as cool as you. Buying a pair of these provides instant kudos. You'll be dripping in kudos, while you stare at 67 inches of your chosen media. So stop desiring and start owning. I did, and I've never looked back. Roflmaololzorslol.Sean Mac, Yooorkshire - Jul '10
I was wondering if you can use these with gaming consoles like the xbox360 or the play station 3?? this would be very helpful trying to decide what I would like for xmas thanks.Tyler Malloy, Wayland MA - Dec '08
Firebox says: all models but the VR920 will support games Consoles! Back of the net!
I am registered blind but like most blind people I have a tiny bit of vision. Two days ago I was visiting another blind person, now I haven't been able to watch TV for the last 15 years, and this mate said "Here try these on". WHAT AN ABSOLUTE SHOCK I HAD! I sat there watching TV through these, they are a miracle of modern science it was as though my eyes had started to work again! I really wish I could afford to buy these but you can rest assured I'll spend as much time as I can round at my mates using his.Robert Stoker, Whitehaven - Nov '08
Firebox says: That is amazing Robert!
These glasses are the best I've ever seen. Who new firebox was better than Specsavers.Marcus Andre, West Bromwich - Mar '09
Does the head tracking function work with Xbox 360 games?Simon Hick, Shropshire - Dec '08
Firebox says: According to the suppliers, this works with the XBox 36 0games listed on the site! Good Times!
Is it possible to use one of these if you're bespectacled?Audrey, York - Apr '08
Firebox says: The tech support guys say that you can use these with glasses but you wont be able to use the eye shield with the unit. To make it a better fit you can actually take the nose piece out and turn it 180 degrees, making the iWear sit higher on the nose. This does work in regards to them fitting on the face but without the eye guard you can see over the top and out the sides more...
That looks pretty damn good. Sweet.Andy, Romford, England - Apr '08
Hey, I was wondering if it is possible to connect the Vuzix Wrap 920 directly to a USB memory stick.Henrik, Norway - Jul '10
Firebox says: No, we're afraid not.
I'd like to know if the VR920 is windows 7 compatible.
Henrique, Brazil - Jul '10
Firebox says: This is only compatible with programs running on a 32-bit or 64-bit Windows XP or Windows Vista PC.
Can you view anything from the iPod on the wrap 920 ie not just movies: apps too.Thomas Galea, Italy - Jun '10
Firebox says: The does work with video but it depends on the apps. It all depends if they play back video - but we can't imagine many will.
