Fraggle Rock

Think of Muppets and you usually think of the Muppet Show, Sesame Street and the England football team. But what about Fraggle Rock? You remember, the surreal 80s TV show about a gang of cave dwelling critters and a talking compost heap. In common with most of Jim Henson's forays into TV it was brilliantly bizarre and made household names (well almost) of its zany lead characters.

And now, thanks to your obscure telly-loving friends at Firebox, you can display your geekish knowledge of all things Muppet-esque by snuggling up to a Fraggle. Fraggle Rock Dolls are just as colourful, cuddly and quirky as the characters upon which they are based. Who knows, you might even remember a few songs from the show once you get snuggling. ('The Ballad of Sir Blunderbrain' anyone?).

There are three Fraggles to choose from but it would be cruel to split them up so we recommend you buy all three. Then again we would say that, wouldn't we? First up, meet Gobo, leader of the gang and an intrepid explorer; next, say hello to Wembley, Gobo's indecisive friend and roommate; finally there's Red, a feminine Fraggle who's confident, head-strong and very energetic.

If all you British Fraggle Rock fans are wondering why there isn't a lighthouse keeper/Mr Mackay off Porridge doll, that's because he only featured in the UK version of the show. The human 'wraparound' segments were shot separately for each nation, so that kids could relate to the world of the programme. But you already knew that, didn't you?

Ideal as desktop companions, memory-jogging huggables or must-have accessories for Muppet fans with (almost) everything, Fraggle Rock Dolls are the cutest rejuvenated rock stars we've ever seen. All together now, 'Dance your cares away, worry's for another day...'
