Isn't a shame you can't shove a regular AA battery in your mobile phone when it runs out of juice? Well, with the forehead-slappingly simple Emergency Charger you can do exactly that - sort of.
Just bung an AA battery in this über-chic aluminium tube, attach it to your phone or iPod (using one of the many included adaptors) and hey presto - up to two hours of extra talk time is whooshed into your beloved mobi. Good, eh! Charging time varies depending on your handset but it's usually about the same as a mains charger.
Cheap as chips, the take-anywhere Emergency Charger is one of those devices you may not need today, tomorrow, or even next week. But need it you will because boffins have yet to invent a phone battery that lasts indefinitely. (Although Jack Bauer's seems to do okay).
Just pop the Emergency Charger in your pocket along with your keys, cash and mobile phone or iPod (obviously) and relax, safe in the knowledge AA batteries are available virtually anywhere on the planet. That's assuming you're reading this from Earth - if not, we strongly suggest you check their availability before ordering.
Armed with this sleek little gizmo you'll never have to worry about running out of juice during vital conversations or rock sessions. Who knows, you could be desperate for a taxi, talking to the love of your life, phoning home, or eager to discuss the latest goings on in the Big Brother house (a ten second call, max). The point is, the Emergency Charger is powered by one of the most readily available power sources in the world. Just load up and get charging. You'll wonder how you ever managed without it.

Firebox says: As far as we have tested it, it will only work with the phones that are stated above, or similar models (Sony Ericsoon K800i and K850i for example)

D520/ D8xx/ D900/ E870/ E900/ P300/ X820/ Z400/ Z510/ Z520/ Z540, sorry! As far as we're aware it will only work with the products stated, or similar.
I ordered one of these nifty little items on Wednesday 16th April and it arrived the next day at lunch time. They are great, I hooked up my dead iPod and hey presto, I got myself an extra half a battery. Buy one!
Thanks Firebox!Ben, South Shields - Apr '08
The usual lightning fast delivery brought me my little charger. Such a simple idea and it does the job brilliantly. I took mine into work and have become some sort of firebox agent now having bought five of the things. Stocking fillers never were this cool when I was a kid.Scott, Atherton - Dec '08
This gadget has become my favourite, it charges everything! Having it makes me wish that my mp3 player wasn't so outdated. The gadget is so cheap, and the batteries are available everywhere. No awkward "I've ran out of battery" moments with an angry girlfriend! No shut downs in the middle of your secret 80's stash of tunes.
Thanks firebox!Hans, Leiecestershire - Nov '08
Took one of these to Prague on a stag weekend, no need for a European adaptor when you travel abroad now, just take this with you! plug it into your phone and it charges up in your hand/pocket/bag/bedroom etc. It doesn't heat up and it's very good quality with a nice weight to it. Doesn't look girly and it really charges up your phone/ipod. I would recommend this to folk who like to travel light and it runs on just one AA battery, and every shop in the world sells AA's !!Richard Hopley, Edinburgh - Nov '07
Sounds like a sensible gadget but does it work with a HTC Wildfire phone?Arjun, Edinburgh - Aug '10
Firebox says: Sorry Arjun, not as far as we're aware.
Is the main picture lying to me, or is it possible to fully charge a phone with this device if I have enough batteries? A lot of similar devices only charge up to a certain level...
And please can I have a chocolate aero, not a mint one like Sean? Not big on mint. .Guy, Beverley - Jun '10
Firebox says: According to the supplier, it'll get you out of a jam if your battery is running low. It will give you enough battery life to make those 'Emergency' phone calls. - No more Aeros I'm afraid, we've mixed it up and gone for something different!
Does it work with iphone 3gs ?Matt, Essex - Jun '10
Firebox says: No, sorry.
It looks like one of the compatible ones will fit my Sony Ericssonv Vivaz, but it doesn't say it will, will it work on a Sony Ericsson Vivaz?Bethany Mullins, I.o.w - Jun '10
Firebox says: I'm afraid not - sorry about that!
