Whatever it was, the crazy Mr Potato Head people have obviously been hitting it hard as well because they've now unleashed Optimash Prime on unsuspecting sci-fi spud fans. Yes indeed, everyone's favorite wacky potato is up to his usual antics, this time disguised as the fearless Autobot leader and most recognizable Transformer of all time.

Utterly bonkers but strangely compelling, Optimash Prime comes with all the bits and bobs you'd expect from a hybrid robot/spud/early 80s truck, including face mask, boots, truck-cab breastplate and vehicular-looking arms. There's even a mini Optimash Prime truck in there. Oh yes, and a comedy moustache. Potatoes in disguise? Just slightly.


It goes without saying that mixing and matching this heroic tater's pieces is as surreal as it is entertaining - you can create all kinds of wacky looks. You can even replicate the full Transformers experience by putting on some bad 80s soft rock and adopting a macho American accent as you fiddle away.

An ideal gift for potato-loving Transformers fans (of course they exist) or aficionados of bizarre desktop companions, Optimash Prime is set to save the day - yet again - by raising a smirk whenever you see him.

There must be stranger things than a comedy potato dressed as a robot that changes into an old red truck, but right now we can't think of any. And if that's not a great reason to order Optimash Prime, we don't know what is!
