Monkeys are funny. Monkeys dressed as superheroes are even funnier. Flying monkeys dressed as superheroes are hilarious. With these incontrovertible facts in mind we've been searching high and low for such a simian for some time. And wouldn't you just know it, we've found one!
Ladies and gentlemen, introducing Screaming Flying Monkey, a cuddly furball that, as well as conforming to the above criteria, is surely a top contender for the most pointless yet entertaining toy in history award.
Fly, my pretty! (25ft!)
...Caped crusader by night!
Simply put two fingers in the little pockets in his paws, pull his super-elasticated bungee arms back and let him go. He'll then fly a good 25ft or more, issuing blood-curdling monkey screeches from a hidden speaker as he soars over startled colleagues and scares flying-monkey-phobics (course they exist) senseless.
We'd go so far as to say that catapulting Screaming Flying Monkey across the office is, quite possibly, one of the few activities worth getting fired for. After all some things are just so silly you can't help but love them. Yes, this gangly primate is about as much use as a spoonful of treacle tractors but, in the sheer entertainment stakes, he puts most executive toys to shame.
Danger: low flying monkey!
You don't have to be an office bod to enjoy the airborne shenanigans of this loudmouthed crusader. Flinging Screaming Flying Monkey is seriously addictive in any environment. Indeed we have it on good authority (from some bloke down the pub) that many world leaders use this 'ooh-aah-ing' plaything to diffuse awkward situations. If only.
But don't just take our word for it - get ordering and witness the awesome effect Screaming Flying Monkey has on onlookers, fellow flingers and unwitting targets alike. Look out, incoming monkey!
It makes people happy. For that reason the monkey is as important as cherryade, fart jokes and even Jesus. For less than a fiver how can you go wrong? Dave, Solihull - 6th April 2013
Firebox says: Amen.
Bought this for a Secret Santa. Everyone loved it, except the guy I bought it for. Annoying but really fun! Tom, Essex - 20th December 2012
Funniest thing I have seen for a while - I love it and can't stop laughing! Just a great present for ANY age ! Icing on the cake is that it annoys the hell out of my husband ! Sue Brownlie, In A House In Scotland ! - 5th December 2012
Firebox says: Glad to hear you love it!
If you pull the strings too long will it snap? Oliver, Sheffield - 20th November 2012
Firebox says: Well the monkey is pretty strong, but if you pull too hard for too long it will eventually snap.

The worst invention ever! Brilliant fun but when you have 7 year old twin brothers firing it at each other non stop it could not be worse! Love it and it keeps them busy and out of the way but the constant sound makes me want to rip my ears off.... Charlotte, Cambridge - 14th July 2012
