The Digital Coin Saving Jar is a great gift for kids, tightwads and financially dense adults because watching the total rise encourages users to save their pennies. We're using one for petty cash here at Firebox HQ and it's amazing how much change you get from a few paperclips when this all-seeing, all-knowing money jar is around. Hmmm...

This seems like a good product and I just wanted to ask, can you turn off the lid LCD display to save battery power?Emma, Kidderminster - 9th January 2012
Firebox says: Hi, The batteries should last ages as its a very low powered display, plus is doubles up as a clock! how cool is that!
This is great for counting our pennies. There's always a lot more in the jar than you think there is!Stacey, Sheffield - 28th August 2011
I haven't bought it 'yet' but I was wondering roughly how much can the jar hold?Michael Cox, Hamshire - 24th April 2011
Firebox says: Good question and I guess it depends on if you are putting in pennies or pounds! The dimensions are: 14.5cm(H) x 11cm(W) x 11cm(D)
Got this to help the boys save for their holidays, and they were really excited to use it, however, for some reason I has decided the a 2p coin is a 10p coin :S, Every other coin is fine (including the 10p) no major issue, I just need to remember to "withdraw" 8p for every 2p entered - a bonus as it helps the boys with their subtraction! Genius!Alex Forty, Worcestershire - 15th March 2011
This is a great product. I bought it for my mum for mothers day and I tested it, and it worked really well. I hope she likes it.Rosie Meredith, GB - 9th March 2011
Hi, how can you add notes to the electronic total? Will, Rotherham - 29th July 2010
Firebox says: Sorry, it just counts coins!
To be honest, this isn't that good- I was counting my pennies and after a while I realised I had over £8, I thought it was a bit much, so I counted again and it was around £6, then I tried counting out manually and discovered that I only had £2. 68. Then after checking it a few times I noticed that sometimes it counts 1p as £1 meaning you have to start again and again so it is pointless to buy this if you want an accurate result, I would recommend counting by hand as you save time, money, effort and the number more or less is correct.Felix Wisniewski, Winchester, Hampshire - 1st May 2010
Firebox says: Felix it sounds as though you have a faulty one. Sorry about that. Why not drop us an email at info@firebox.com and we can look into this for you.
My daughter loves to save but makes me do all the counting. This saves me having to count the money, plus my daughter just wants the number higher and higher so it's a really good tool to encourage saving money.Andrew Hall, Wilberfoss, York - 17th February 2010
Can I count Euro's before I buy it for a member of the family in France?!Al Smith, Leeds - 14th December 2009
Firebox says: Just Great British Pounds and pence I'm afraid, Al
I was just wonering, if you put a note in the jar, would itcount it?Charly, Cornwall - 7th December 2009
Firebox says: Just coins, sorry!
