Flytech Dragonfly

A robotic RC dragonfly sounds like the kind of thing you might find in a dodgy sci-fi movie starring him out of Magnum. But thanks to the geniuses behind Robosapien it's now a reality!
Radio controlled
The Flytech Dragonfly is the world's first wing-flapping RC robot. Don't ask why, just hurry up and buy because gadget-loving entomology fans (of course they exist!) are going to get in a real flap as soon as they witness this robo-insect's freakishly realistic fluttering. It even flies indoors and outside - no stagnant pond required.
Just like the real thing the ultra-cool Dragonfly looks like it means business: large 'abdomen', massive eyes, membranous wings; indeed in terms of looking mean these suckers are the Boba Fetts of the insect world. Sort of.
Rechargeable
You control the rechargeable Dragonfly via a sleek twin-channel transmitter/charging unit - left stick to fly, right stick to steer. There are also two control modes, beginner and advanced - handy for those of you who've never flown a robotic insect. (That'll be everyone then).
But what's it like to fly? Simply hand-launch the Dragonfly and before you can say 'invertebrate zoology' you'll have this supremely maneuverable triumph of flapping aerodynamics spinning, diving and even hovering. You won't believe your eyes! Don't worry about crashing - the Dragonfly's high-flex crash-resistant structure makes it impervious to all manner of prangs. That said, it is extremely light so keep it away from anyone armed with a rolled-up newspaper.
Hand-launch
As if to add to its eerie insect-like aura, the Dragonfly has glowing LED eyes that alert you to its status by blinking, pulsing or shining. It's enough to scare the cat senseless and have roommates calling pest control. We really can't overstate quite how jaw-droppingly impressive this magnificent flying machine is. It even comes with a spare set of wings, a replacement tail propeller, & a tail ribbon for novice fliers. But don't take our word for it, get ordering and prepare to be amazed.

This is amazing. Fact. I had it out of the box and flying in 23 minutes (it takes 20 minutes to charge). The controls couldn't be easier and it's very durable' although taking it outside would be suicidal. Its surprisingly light weight. Brilliant fun and an excellent buy!

Very good flyer, let down by a low sensitivity indiscriminate 27mhz receiver.
Great fun, but my advice is to fit a longer antenna to the transmitter and follow it everywhere, otherwise when it does go out of range there is no fail safe, it just keeps going at whatever throttle setting it was on when it went out of range.

In one word...astounding! You really have to see this one in action to believe it. Within 20min I had it flying in my college common room. Had fun scaring people who came in by hiding and watching thier expressions as a giant flying robot came towards them!
One warning, you do need quite a large indoor space to fly this in which can be a bit frustrating. Haven't tried it outside yet. Battery charge takes about 20min but flying time is impressive.
Overall A++++.

 | Cap'n Danger Stunt Monkey There must be more preposterous things than a parachuting primate, but right now we can't think of any. Simply drop this death-defying ape from a window or hurl him in the air and his 'chute deploys, allowing him to descend safely towards terra firma. Don't ask.
