Charge up the Freeloader
and a device at the
same time
But what do you do when you're nowhere near a power source? Well it just so happens that, unless you're reading this from the Planet Onderon, you're always near a power source: the sun.
Use the Freeloader as a battery to charge a device
Whether you're stuck in nowhereville, hiking in the wilderness or miles from civilization, the FreeLoader is a must-have accessory. After all a portable gadget minus power is as much use as a rhubarb wristwatch.
Solar Panel perfection!

Bought this for an 18hr drive. Absolutely Awesome! Really useful kept mine and my sister's ipods and phones and her nintendo going the whole time! Definitely recommend buying the Supercharger: makes charging it really simple, easy and fast. Doesn't even need full light. Doesn't come with Samsung adaptor though, but using the usb adapter can plug in the cable to charge phone! Definitely recommend buying them both.Elly, Gloucester - Jun '09

I just got one for a French trip in school and it's amazingly good!Samuel, The United Kingdom - Mar '09
For a while I had been looking for a better way of harnessing the suns solar energy than my step-dads head (which he claims is the solar panel for a sex machine, though my mum disagrees)... This slightly sad and optimistic boast led me to think "Ooo, wouldn't it be marvelous if there was a handheld device that could charge up my i-pod"... Then lo and behold, firebox gave me the answer!! Ok, so it doesn't gather charge in the speediest of style, but it does kick out a fair bit of energy! Probably more useful as a back up than a main supply, but great if you're stuck with no power and your step-dad's balding head....Darren, Derbyshire - Aug '07
I hoping someone will buy me this for my birthday because it's too much a hassle to which on my laptop just to charge my mp3 player.
I can see this useful abroad because here in UK you don't get much sun. Being solar powered, you won't be caught off guard when your mobile phone runs out.Penny, Bristol - Jul '07
I have been looking for a device like this for so long now! It isn't the best collector of solar energy I've ever seen but it IS a great way to carry spare charge for all my gadgets in one neat shiny box.Ross, Hampshire - May '07
A very kind person kindly allowed me to use this solar charger whilst I was camping. It wasn't a very sunny day and their were lots of clouds in the sky but it only took about 2 hours to fully charge my Archos Gmini 402 camcorder. I would really recommend this product to anyone and I am hoping to get one for my birthday.Elizabeth, Whitley Bay - Feb '08
