Step forward the ingenious Super Solar Shower. This incredibly useful, eco-friendly shower system has been specifically designed for those moments when you want a shower but you're miles from power. And that's because it is heated by everyone's favorite bright orangey thing. No, not Firebox.com, the sun!
Simply fill the bag with water, place it flat with the black side up and leave it out to soak up some rays. The heat time varies depending on the temperature, but on a sunny day at a temperature of 70°F the water temperature will rise to around 105°F in around 3 hours. Be warned though - the temperature can rise as high as 150°F. Ouch!
Once the water is heated simply hang the bag from a branch or some other overhanging thingamabob and get stripping. You can even slip into your bikini and re-enact your favorite shower moment from 'Temptation Island'. (Assuming you're a woman). And with a 20 liter capacity you'll have more than enough water to wash those bugs right out of your hair.
The Super Solar Shower comes with everything you need for an al fresco shower, including shower head, flow control and hanging cord. Pack a decent bar of soap and you'll feel fresh as a daisy, wherever you may roam. Pass the loofah!

"Ace camping/festival accessory. Fill it with water, leave out in the sun, hang on a branch and hey presto - instant warm shower. And festival-goer no longer so predictably crusty."Zoo Weekly - May '07

I took my shower to Bug Jam and it saved my boyfriend and several members of my family from that dirty feeling... It never got to 21 degrees outside but the shower still managed to heat up nicely. There wasn't really anywhere to hang the shower (no trees in the field), however we popped it on top of the car and it did a good enough job. Not sure tis quite powerful enough to wash long or thick hair and the tube did tend to fall off if you moved it a bit too quickly. However, tis a bargain at less than 5squid and I know we'll definitely be using it again. I was laughed at when I told everyone I'd bought it but when they all got to wash their hair they were v. V. Grateful and thought it was money well spent!Samantha, Carnforth - Aug '08
