Today's computers are triumphs of technology, but divvy designers always seem to scrimp on the USB ports. A shame because practically every electronic device on the market is now USB-friendly - from cameras and MP3 players to phones, lava lamps and drum kits. (If you don't believe us, just type 'USB' in our keyword search box). And who can be bothered fiddling around the back of their computer looking for spare ports?

Tardis USB Hub

Oooh... Flashy!

Not us. That's why we use USB hubs. But we don't use any old hubs to bolster our USB connectivity. Good grief, no! We use ones shaped liked Doctor Who's Tardis. Why? Well, for starters we love Doctor Who. But more than that we love the Tardis. This ingenious product of Time Lord technology is surely one of the most iconic objects in sci-fi history.

Tardis USB Hub

Connect up to 4 USB devices... MP3 Players, Memory Sticks, Printers etc.

What's more, the good Doctor's Tardis (yeah, yeah, we know it stands for Time and Relative Dimension in Space) is an obsolete Type 40 model with a jammed chameleon circuit, giving it the shape of a 1950s London police box. And it just doesn’t get any more eccentric or quirkily British than that.

Tardis USB Hub

2 of 4 USB ports!

The Doctor Who Tardis USB Hub boasts four ports in which to plug your various gizmos. Simply plug in and you’re away. But here’s the good bit: every time you connect or disconnect a device, the blue light on the top of the Tardis flashes and that unmistakable de-materialization ‘vworp, vworp’ sound starts sawing away at your lugholes. Thankfully it doesn’t actually vanish into the time vortex, so you can enjoy the classic grating din again and again by plugging in more devices or pressing the demo button.

Perfect for Doctor Who fans or those of you who want to increase your USB connectivity via a pretend Gallifreyan time/space machine, the Tardis USB Hub makes an eye-catching addition to any work surface. And with 4 meters of cable, you can easily slip it out of view when the boss, wife, or anyone else who might disapprove of PC peripherals disguised as dimensionally transcendental vehicles, is around. Vworp, vworp!

visitor avatar This is totally awesome! It arrived within two days, well packaged and in good working order. Its compatible with Macs and the noise it makes was better than I thought. A brilliant buy!

visitor avatar Mine arrived today, quickly and safely. It's my first purchase from this site and given the speed of delivery (and the lil sweets inside the box) won't be the last. The Tardis USB hub itself is fantastic, and it's fun to own and plug things into even if you don't actually need a USB hub (I do so, it serves its purpose well). Any Dr Who fan with a computer should own this. Am very happy with my purchase.

visitor avatar Awesome, my Dad loved it for his birthday! Smashing delivery speed as well (7am) the day after his birthday which was Monday and I ordered it late Sunday night. A must have for any computer using Doctor Who fan, it brought a smile to his face to hear the Tardis starting up to defeat a Dalek whilst plugging his memory pen. Top product, top website, incredibly fast delivery. Firebox, keep up the good work.

visitor avatar WOW as a huge Dr Who fan I was over the moon when this arrived at last some thing that not only looks cool on the desk but is a full functioning USB hub and the best bit is the whooop whoop sounds when you plug in a usb device wicked.

visitor avatar The Doctor Who Tardis Hub is fantastic. You don't need the power pack that comes with, it works from plug and play. I would be lost without it, best buy by far, it's a must for all Doctor Who Fans.

Firebox says: Sorry Chuck!

visitor avatar Simply Brilliant. I've got a moutain of USB goodies to plug into my computer, and now every time I plug in I'm rewarded with a cute blue flashing light and the tardis noise. It's worth noting that this is a powered hub, which means you'll need an extra plug socket to use it, though it will work without plugging it in too. Oh and you can turn the noise off if it ever gets annoying, or if you want to make a sneak attack on the daleks. Pros: ITS THE TARDIS! It's powered, so you can charge your trans dimentional ipod or usb sonic screwdriver. Cons: You will have everyone in the office coming round to see you plug in your ipod every 5 minutes.
