Every now and again an idea comes along and you think "blimey, what a great idea, why did it take so long?" And so it is with the SwissCard, the credit card-sized version of the enduring Swiss army penknife except all the bits are stored in a, um, credit card thingy.Barclaysquare - May '01

Excellent product, and more useful than the Quattro version.
One of those things to put in your wallet and always have a handy blade for opening parcels, a pin to remove splinters with, or a pen for doing the crossword when the train's delayed.
Sadly if you fly frequently it can become an expensive toy. I've lost five of them to airport security. Nearly always on the return leg of the journey. The ironic thing is that you sometimes see them for sale in Duty Free, and BA used to sell them on flights!RufusA, Surrey - 20th July 2009
This is possibly one of the best things I have ever bought. It sits perfectly in my wallet because its the same size a credit card, so its always with me. I have two conventional Swiss Army knives but they are never used half as much as this. I always find it incredible how often it is needed in every day life, from opening packages bought from Firebox, to using the tweezers to pick spines from a sea urchin out of my friends foot on holiday! There is a lot of stuff to buy on Firebox but if there was one thing that I think everyone should have it is one of these.Daniel, West Sussex - 6th February 2009
Great piece of kit. But if you travel by plane, remember to put it in with your luggage. It's easy to forget that it is in your wallet/purse and it will be confiscated by security!C. Floyd, Surbiton Surrey - 3rd January 2008
A great tool for just about anything but a toothpick- that is a bit odd?
but I would still rate

My partner bought one of these for me whilst bored in the airport waiting for a flight on our return from a ski trip in 2001 and it has been one of the best pressies I have ever had! It is just the right size to fit into my handbag and it gets used all the time. Unfortunately, I have manged to lose the nail file so maybe I will just have to hint for a new one .... .Cazphelan, England - 21st November 2006
I've already got a mini swiss army knife on my keys, and my swiss card is perfect for work. It has been infinitely useful for everything from opening boxes to releasing a woman trapped in a customer toilet! When asked "has anyone got a screwdriver?!" it's good to be able to say Yes! She has since vowed to buy a Swiss Card for herself!Gail, Surrey - 19th November 2005
The most suprisingly useful gadget ever to come out of the great gadget making coporation of firebox. I open letters and threaten people with the blade, cut out coupons with the scissors (student here), write telephone numbers with the pen, pick up nasty things with the tweezers, pick my teeth with the toothpick, give myself manicures and unscrew things with the nail file/screwdriver (its incredibly satisfying to file your nails when someone superhumanly boring is talking to you), measure things with the ruler and take angles with the protractor (I used it in an applied maths test). But the pin? Wha?Fake McName, Realstreet - 12th June 2005
Excellent - just also remember to take it out of your wallet and stow it in your checked in luggage before attempting to board a plane at Verona Airport....or you'll have everything but the toothpick and tweezers confiscated by the Italian police! Doh.!Paulie, England - 1st February 2003

ACE! Have had one for several years now - the 'never-leave-home-without-one' smoker's tool. If you catch my drift....Rich, London - 4th December 2002
