The fact that you're surfing across our gloriously orangey site means you're probably into portable gadgets. It also means you need fresh batteries on a regular basis. Because a gizmo without batteries is as much use as a bike without wheels. And that can be rather annoying because the cost of batteries soon adds up, doesn't it? Well no, not if you use USBCell Batteries.
As the name suggests, these revolutionary AA size batteries are recharged via your computer's USB port - no bulky chargers or cumbersome cables required. Simply flip open the cap at the positive end of the battery to reveal the connector and plug it straight in. Each battery even features an LED that indicates charge status. Genius!
Unless you're some kind of techno-dunce, you're bound to be surrounded by USB ports: on your PC, your laptop and even your Xbox 360. And if you really are a techno-dunce you probably don't know what a USB port is anyway - we're certainly not going to waste time telling you now.
Brilliant for powering PC peripherals such as wireless mice and keyboards, these eco-friendly batteries are also ideal travelling companions when you're out gallivanting with your laptop, as you won't need to sully the line of your suit with additional adaptors and chargers.
Seeing as flat batteries are about as much use as margarine turbochargers, we can think of no good reason why you wouldn't want to buy a set of USBCell Batteries immediately. And don't say "because I'm never near any USB ports" because you're sitting next to a couple right now!

Brilliant product! Brilliant service from firebox.com!
These are a life saver, just pop them in a active USB port and they'll change. You will know they have finished charging because the green ring life (not shown in firebox's image) will turn off. It has been proven that rechargeable batteries last longer on one whole use than normal batteries and you are not chucking them away so you're helping nature.Brian, Scotland - Mar '08
Ingenious, fantastic, great for travelling. Delivery was super fast, and the love hearts were a great bonus.Claire, Broadstairs - Jan '07
On the minus side, they sort of break in half after a month or two of using them.
On the plus side, when stuck back together with electrical tape, they still work fine (and have been for over a year now).
All in all - I'd buy them again as they're damn handy.alexandra.dey, Niland - Feb '09
Say, I got a Wii for christmas and they run on battery pack Wiimotes, but I only have 1 but both can charge via USB with this revolutionary device! These are legendary!Devon, Hillside,Illinoiis - Jan '09
These things are great. I found out you dont have to leave your PC on to charge them! Any old (powered) USB port will do. Ive gotten charge from my printer, router, Xbox 360, Sky+ box, they even work with that solar Freeloader charger they sell on here!
You just gotta get a few of these to try!Sam, Chester - Jun '08
Just to give you an idea on the duration on these batteries, I popped 2 fully charged into my wireless mouse, and they lasted for 1 month (also bare in mind I never turned the power off, which most wireless mice can do, when not in use). Excellent product!Steve, Kent - Apr '08
Hey FB, just thought I'd drop a note in - as I actually had to put these to use in a real field test. I'd gone off to Australia, and new years eve was a Wii evening, but the remote batteries were running down! thankfully, I'd already installed the USBCells - I'd just swapped 'em around with a fully charged set, and we were good to go - I loved the double take our hosts did when they saw me literally plug the battery into my laptop and charged for 5 hours - I still get double takes from everyone who sees them first time round! Does USBCell employ Q from the bond movies at all? Oh and btw, for USBCell, keep up the great work, looking forward to the other sizes coming out =).Jon H, Plymouth, UK - Feb '08
I wish these were in AAA style. Do they?

These power my Wiimote perfectly, the only trouble is they don't both fit into the Wii's USB ports at the same time! Work well through a hub though.Nick, Leeds - Mar '07
I think these batteries are so brilliant, although if they cost a little less or were a 4 pack then they would be better. These batteries can even be charged with a ni-mh charger and last a long time even for power guzzling devices like my digi cam. Not only can they charge from a computer's USB port, they can work in a PS2 too!Danny, W. Mids - Jan '07
