The original Bop It Extreme was about as addictive a toy as we have seen here at Firebox House, particularly when used in conjunction with a bottle or twelve of your favorite alcoholic beverage. (You could play it sober, but the fun factor is exponentially larger when addled by lager). Imagine our excitement, then, to learn that the creators of Bop-It Extreme have not been content to sit on their laurels, but have blessed us with the next evolution in all things Bop-It-esque: introducing Bop-It Extreme 2! (They could have called it Bop-It Extremer, but that would be silly).
More than just a cursory tweak of the winning formula, Bop It Extreme 2 represents a quantum leap in rhythmical gaming design. Now you can BOP IT! TWIST IT! PULL IT! FLICK IT! SPIN IT! to a mix of four different music styles - Pop, Rock, Latin and R&B!
But wait, there's more...much more! Taking a cue from video game design where you can often 'unlock' new levels, with Bop It Extreme 2 you can now unlock new beats - the longer you play, the more the beats evolve and change. So as the tempo ramps up - try to keep up!
You can Bop-It solo and hone your skills and coordination in silence without driving your roommates or coworkers nuts thanks to the handy headphone jack. (Alternatively, you could drive your neighbors insane by plugging Bop It into your Hi-Fi and cranking it up to eleven.)
Much more fun than solo Bopping, however, is to go one-on-one with a friend, or get a group together and see who is the Bop-meister. Preferably in a bar. With three games in two modes there are six ways to play. Bop On!

Amazing, truly amazing, my little brother got it for Christmas but he hasn't been able to get me off it, my top score so far is 189, it gets so hard! Thank you for bringing this game out... Bring out number 3 :PChris, Ramsgate - Dec '07
I got this game for my younger brother's 9th birthday. He is now officially addicted to it!!! Hope this game brings as much fun into your home as it did ours!!!Georgii, Midlands - Oct '08
Amazing game! I love it! Got 250 on voxbop!! yay!!! Beatbop is much harder though!Prab, Guildford, Surrey - Feb '07
I'm 12, and this one is way younger than me but he's completely amazing - I've scored 250, but only once - I love Bop It!Maria, Ireland - Nov '08
In total I have bought 6 of these this christmas, every person I gave one to has said it is the coolest game ever, the two player one-on-one almost caused anarchy at the New Year's party. Easily the game of 2003. Very well put together as well.Neel Barchha, Birmingham - Jan '04
My friends 9 years old daughter got me hooked on it so I pestered my partner to get me one for Christmas. Disappointed that the score only goes up to 250! My partner did however come up with a good solution (apart from binning it as he finds it annoying) is to turn Bop-it over each time the music pauses so the the controls keep switching sides to confuse my brain, it worked and makes it harder. When doing two player my family banned me from joining in as I kept beating them, its not my fault they aren't very good.
Hope Bop-it brings out one that doesn't have a high score limit or makes one that is difficult.Phillip Merrick, Liverpool - Dec '07

I bought this for my husband and I got addicted to it, when I first picked it up I couldnt get past ten but now I have got the top score of 250, I am gutted that it doesnt go any higher than that and find it boring now.Rita, Kent - Mar '07
Firebox says: Wow Rita, you must be good! Maybe take Lucy's tip of trying with your eyes closed - eek!
My flatmate got this for christmas which resulted in none of us getting our essays done. It's evil! I couldn't put it down until I reached 250 when the score maxed out.Benedikt, Falmouth, Cornwall - Jan '07
I love this game! I wish the max score were higher then 250 though because I have already gotten to that with my eyes closed. Aside from that, I love it!Lucy, California - Jan '07
Firebox says: I think that answers Chelsea's question about the high score limit! Thanks Lucy

This was after only 1 month he has since got 250 6 times. Is there anyone out there who has scored 250 who is younger?
