Airmail Mighty Wallet
All hail snail mail
Hold all your notes and cards
No, what you want is a Airmail Tyvek Wallet. And we should know, because as self-appointed arbiters of cool we know a thing or two about how best to hold one's folding - and that thing you've got stuffed down the back of your trousers most definitely ain't it.
As you can see, these cool and quirky wallets resemble bits of folded paper. But not just any old paper; an airmail envelope. Clever, eh!
Needless to say, pulling one of these out of your pocket will immediately mark you out as a jetsetting correspondent: the airmail style may be a snail mail classic, but it also looks quite glam in a retro kind of way.
Plenty of nooks and crannies to put your cash and cards in along with whatever other items you put in your wallet
Travel the world with this wallet!
Bi-fold for notes and credit cards, the Airmail Tyvek Wallet is ideal for storing scannable ID cards (such as Oyster etc) as the material is so thin you won't need to remove them.
Best of all, this supremely innovative wallet is unlike anything else on the market. And that's what matters because Confucius* say: "Empty wallet that looks good is better than full one that looks rubbish."
*Bert Confucius, toilet attendant, Firebox Ltd.

The video is of me showing what my new wallet looks like (with money, receipts and cards in it) and opening and closing the pockets etc, which gives a potential customer a great idea of how good this wallet is.

Hi. The pictures show 2 distinct layout design across the 3 patterns the airmail one in the photos has 3 vertical pockets (tho in the video it has 2 horizontal slots) on the inside and the other designs have 2 horizontals inside. Which one is the current build? I'm thinking they all prob have 2 horizontal now as newspaper and dot matrix are newer could you confirm if the inside pocket layout of airmail for me? thank you.Archie, Birmingham - 24th February 2011
Firebox says: Currently all the designs come in a Bi-Fold style Archie, sorry for any confusion.
Does the Newsprint one have the opening side bit when two corners are pressed like the airmail one does? I would really like one you see but I cant decide. .Graeme, Glasgow - 22nd January 2011
Firebox says: The models are pretty much identical apart from the design, so they should all have the same features.
From the pictures/video submitted by other people, and the description the wallet appears to be two different shapes.
What is the shape of the wallet?Kaya, Liverpool - 21st November 2010
Firebox says: There are 3 different designs of the wallet (Newsprint, Dot Matrix, Airmail) but they should all be the same shape. The approximate dimensions are:
Folded - Approximately 8.5cm(W) x 9cm(H) - folded
Open - Approximately 25.5cm(W) x 9cm(H) - open
Yes, it feels like paper. I've had my airmail one months now and it's still just as strong - although pretty dirty - and I've had loads of people asking me about it, despite thinking nobody would care (I bought it because it looked cool, apparently everyone else thinks that too ;).Michael, London - 14th November 2010
With the amount of cards that people have nowadays and driving licences etc (and notes), how many sections does it actually have in it? Looking into my crumby wallet now its got 6 sections holding (just) 14 Card. HELP!Danny, Oldham - 10th November 2010
Firebox says: We would say you could get about 8-10 cards in this comfortably. 14 might be a push!
Bought this for my boyfriend for his birthday and he absolutely loves it! I had always been telling him to get a wallet to keep his money safe but he'd never seen one he'd actually liked. When he saw this on firebox he thought it was amazing. When it arrived I thought it was a little flimsy but it is more hard working than it seems. It has loads of compartments which is a handy touch and the overall appearance and design is great. I'd say the only problem is it's started looking a little old after 2 months. Overall, I would definitely recommend this item.Toni, Liverpool - 9th November 2010
I was expecting a cool and unique wallet, and the airmail Tyvek wallet has indeed delivered (haha, the envelope delivered...)! It's as functional as it says on the box and I was amazed exactly how much like paper it actually is. Though I think I'll keep the fact you can doodle on it behind closed doors from my scribble-happy friends and hope they don't think of it themselves....Ellen, Shepshed - 31st October 2010
Got the newspaper one in the post today and its awesome! wish I could read all the foreign writing on it though. Want your fizzy sweets back? I don't eat gelatine, but thanks for the thought anyway. Who needs sugary treats when you've got a cool wallet.Kieran, Folkestone - 14th July 2010
Awful, I looked at this product on the web and thought it looked great so I ordered one. It arrived and I opened it only to find it was paper!!! it felt flimsy and I have sent it back. Sorry firebox but this is a bad product.Sam DF, Horsham - 30th May 2010
Having destroyed every other wallet I have ever had in around 3 months, I ordered the newsprint Tyvek one over 2 years ago and it is still going strong! No tears, it stores everything I need such as numerous cards and banknotes and resceipts. If you avoid waving it upside down it is perfectly secure and everybody loves it when they see it! I now just agree with colleagues and people serving me at tills when they ask "Did you make that yourself?".Gareth Anderson, Cheshire - 18th December 2009
