PicoZ Micro Helicopter Pedals, joysticks, flight manuals, leather bomber jacket...it's a rigamarole flying a chopper, isn't it? Well no, not if you buy the amazing PicoZ Micro Helicopter.

PicoZ Micro Helicopter Ready-to-fly straight out the box, this palm-sized IR flying machine is perfect for indoor flights. And it won't blow off the boss's toupee or decapitate the dog, even in a head-on collision, since it's just over six and a half inches long and weighs only a third of an ounce! More importantly it won't fall to pieces, as it's constructed from robust polypropylene foam.

PicoZ Micro Helicopter You control the airborne action via a twin channel, wide-beam infrared transmitter that doubles as a charger. With a range of up to 30 feet, you'll soon be conducting hush-hush raids on distant enemy desks and, thanks to the Pico's eerie blue strobe light, giving the late shift the creeps. Just make sure you don't hum the music to Airwolf while doing so - it's a dead giveaway!

PicoZ Micro Helicopter

Unlike the huge gas-guzzling choppers of yesteryear, the Pico's powerful micro motors are powered by a lightweight lithium polymer battery, giving flight times of up to 10 minutes from a half hour charge. More than enough to rile roommates and pester the parrot. Indeed, when it comes to maneuverability, this nifty chopper is the canine's cojones. And that's thanks to an ingenious auto-stability system which makes flying the Pico a piece of cake.

PicoZ Micro Helicopter

We guarantee you'll be utterly addicted to this triumph of micro technology before you can say 'Jan Michael Vincent' (whippersnappers get Googling), and the whole indoor flight angle adds a thrilling new dimension to the proceedings. Open spaces? Who needs 'em!

NB. For some reason unbeknownst to us, the manufacturers of this product have labeled the packaging with "PicooZ" rather than "PicoZ". Where does the name come from? Well, it's probably based on the word Pico, meaning "really small" - Pico is an SI reference for 10−12 with roots in the spanish word for "small quantity".

visitor avatar I got this toy as a gift for my birthday this year. A lot of fun! My cat is absolutely crazy about it, and so am I. The only drawback is the short life of the in-built heli battery. But it's great, and it recharges quite quickly. So, if you think of buying this for yourself or for somebody that likes giznmos, I say "go ahead". You can't go wrong.

visitor avatar This little PicoZ helicopter is extremely fun. Got mine today after having to wait 5 hours for it! (had to go to college). Got it charged and fired it up when I got home & it's brilliant fun. I find it best to slightly adjust the trimming as you're flying the helicopter as the battery life does effect it. Also, I recommend some 2500mAh rechargeable batteries (make sure the rechargeables are a high mAh) for the controller as you'll find yourself going through hundreds of normal AAs. I've now stuck a bit of blue tack on the bottom of the nose and it flies a lot better. Very happy. Money well spent. I recommend these batteries: http://www.Mmcrodirect.co.uk / (27589) Energizer-Plug-In-Compact-Charger-With-6. Aspx - 6 2500mah Energizer - they come with a charger as well (although you might want to get yourself another charger as this one can only do 4 at a time). Oh, and thanks for the packet of Fun Gums Firebox!! :D.

visitor avatar After a stressful day at work there's nothing more satisfying than coming home & taking 'her' for a spin. Addictive fun once you've got the hang of the early flights. Love ruling the lounge space with it! But it today! Us boys love it!

visitor avatar I have recently bought this excellent piece of engineered micro helicopter and since then I haven’t stopped playing! The excellent material used to make the helicopter is perfect it is light weighted and it is soft unlike plastic. This means it will not break even if it crashes million times! It flies an enormous 10 m (30ft)! Due to the strong foam used to make the helicopter even if a part does come off, the old friend super glue does the trick! I first thought this radio controlled helicopter is going to be hard to fly but I mastered it within 2 days! To finish off the helicopter has even got a strobes to make it look like a real helicopter with flashing lights. The beauty of the helicopter is you don’t need to go out side in the big space to fly it; you can fly it in the comfort of your own home since it is the size of your hands! This piece of gadget is a MUST for all those people who want lots of fun.

visitor avatar What can I say. Ordered on Thursday, confirmed by email with delivery tracking number on Friday, arrived Monday. Packaged extremely well. After reading several reviews on this site, I charged it and read the instructions. A couple of trials and trimming adjustments and I was away. What a product, even my wife thought it was great and that was after a severe ribbing over the couple of days waiting for delivery. This very robust and accurate helicopter has given me and my neighbour (who is now buying one for himself) the best play time (ages of 44 & 46) we have ever had. I own and fly a Dragonfly 2005 remote helicopter which has given me hours of fun however, it has to be flown outside, the weather has to be good, is very difficult to control, takes at least an hour to recharge and costs a fortune in spare parts. The PicoZ is easy to fly, takes 15 minutes to recharge, seems indestructible and can be flown at any time in side from your favourite chair. I can not praise this product enough however, as a tip, you must read the instructions and set the trim. If you do this you will have hours of fun. Great product, delivery and a big thanks to Firebox, the best 20 quid I have ever spent.

visitor avatar Absolutely brilliant piece of micro engineering! When I first flew the PicoZ I was very disappointed in how hard it was to control. I soon discovered that this was down to my piloting skills (or lack of!!!) and not the helicopter. After a couple of flights I got used to the controls and, when trimmed correctly, she flies beautifully. It's still a challenge to keep it smooth, and land it where you want to... but this is what keeps you coming back for more. And the annoying thing?...My 70 year old father could fly the thing straight off!!! Good on yer Dad. A winner for all ages, guaranteed. Thanks Firebox.

visitor avatar Bought Friday, with me Monday. What can I say, this is a superb piece of mini engineering. I carried out 4 flights on Monday evening each about 5 minutes long between charges. By the fourth I had mastered Air-Wolf'esque skills.

visitor avatar I've had my Pico for about a month, and fly it for at least ten minutes a day. Accurate flying and spot landing is challenging, I've made a small 'helipad' which fits on top of a wine box-looks like a rooftop pad. I get flights of about three-four mins. Rather than the ten stated, but the recharge takes only 15 mins, so it averages out. I read that it's possible to increase the flight time by almost exhausting the battery before recharging. All in all, a super product, - I must have 'sold' a dozen to friends, I demonstrate it whenever I can. It's almost indestructible (mine has lost the lug and push rod from one side of the rotor, but flies OK on the remaining one). I'm awaiting delivery of another Pico just in case this one breaks-couldn't be without it! Thanks, Firebox, for loads of fun!

visitor avatar I am 49 years old, so was in 2 minds whether I was I tad too old to be playing with toys like this. It was a toss up between this micro heli, and a remote controlled plane. I made the right choice!! This is soo much fun! It beats any office toy! I had a few reservations about its ability to fly and hover, but after 15 mins practice, I can fly it around my office easily!! Can't wait till my 10 year old daughter comes home from school! Second thought, I think I'll hide it otherwise I'll never see it again!!
