I work in the pyrotechnics industry and, thanks to having two Glowrings attached to my car keys, I have always managed to locate my keys after dropping them whilst firing firework displays. I always recommend these to people that I work with and after they see them they normally buy one themselves.Paul, Harlow,Essex - May '09
I have had one of these for years and it is truly fab! I can find my keys in my huge handbag and, when on holiday in our caravan, I hang my keys on a peg and all night they submit a glow and helps me to find my way to the loo!!
Definitely a worthy buy.Catherine Kaiser, Harrogate - May '09

I bought three years ago and gave away the other two as pressies at Christmas. I kept one to attach to my torch, it is a real help in strange hotels and power cuts.Carole, Oxford - Sep '09
I want something from this site but I live not in UK. I'm from UKraine...Serg, Kiev - Jul '09

I brought the green one back in 2006 and it is still as light as it was when I first brought it. Really recommend then everyone. Great great product.
when you need to rush out of a house at night and not turn lights on for keys this comes in very very very handy.Liam Rushton, Stevenage, Uk - Jul '09
Just a little info on the light:
The tritium in a gaseous tritium light source undergoes beta decay, releasing electrons which cause the phosphor layer to fluoresce.
During manufacture, a length of borosilicate glass tube which has had the inside surface coated with a phosphor-containing material is filled with the radioactive tritium. The tube is then fused with a CO2 laser at the desired length. Borosilicate is preferred because it is a type of glass noted for its strength and resistance to breakage. In the tube, the tritium gives off a steady stream of electrons due to beta decay. These particles excite the phosphor, causing it to emit a low, steady glow. One could use any beta particle-emitting substance, but in practice tritium is preferred because it is not very hazardous.
Various preparations of the phosphor compound can be used to produce different colors of light. Some of the colors that have been manufactured in addition to the common phosphorus green are red, blue, yellow, purple, and orange.
The types of GTLS used in watches give off a small amount of light—not enough to be seen in daylight, but enough to be visible in the dark from a distance of several meters. The average such GTLS has a useful life of 10–20 years. As the tritium component of the lighting is often more expensive than the rest of the watch itself, manufacturers try to use as little as possible. Being an unstable isotope with a half-life of about 12. 36 years, tritium loses half its brightness in that period. The more tritium that is initially placed in the tube, the brighter it is to begin with, and the longer its useful life. Tritium exit signs usually come in three brightness levels guaranteed for 10, 15, or 20 year useful life expectancies. The difference between the signs is how much tritium the manufacturer installs.

Bought this for my friend who's always loosing her keys or spending ages looking through a bag or two. The glowring is beyond awesome! It arrived this morning and been looking at it through a slightly open cupboard and the glow is strong, can't wait to try it at night. It even has a radiation warning, not many presents have one of those!Chris, Guidlford, UK - Jun '09
I've had mine since 2001 but one just broke near the key ring. Thank goodness for spares. It makes looking for keys or identifying the general area easy in the dark. 8 years have passed & it still glows as it did when I first got them. =).Long, Los Angeles, CA - Jun '09
I bought some of these from Firebox nearly ten years ago and can confirm that of the three I bought, I lost two. BUT - the third one stills glows at the same brightness as when I got it. Great for finding your keys in your backpack and just about bright enough to read by in utter darkness !Richard, Hampshire - Jun '09
