Description

Comes with a handy carry case

In terms of sheer decadence, lazing around in a hammock is up there with jet-skiing around your yacht or getting the nearest pneumatic blond to shake your dice. Thankfully hammocks are a lot cheaper than yachts and casino fines. But unless you've got a degree in macramé or a holiday home in Fiji they're not that easy to come by.

Yes, you can buy one on your hols, but trying to find two perfectly-spaced coconut trees to hang it between isn't easy, especially in non-tropical Blighty. And that's where the hi-tech Lazy Days Hammock comes in.

This superior portable hammock can be erected in seconds and you don't need sailor-standard knotting skills to do it. Best of all the whole kit and caboodle weighs less than 22 pounds and folds up into a handy rucksack/carry case, so you can take it wherever you fancy - up the park, down the common, on the beach or in the garden.

The secret to the Lazy Day's supreme portability lies in its light but sturdy collapsible steel frame. This ingenious support system does away with the need for hanging posts and you won't have to worry about the whole thing collapsing if your knots aren't up to scratch because there aren't any.

You can also wave adieu to slapstick dismounting disasters, because unlike old-school rope hammocks this state-of-the-art loafing accessory is crafted in soft but durable nylon. The Lazy Days Hammock has unquestionably been constructed with the professional layabout in mind. All that's missing is the gentle cadence of calypso music and a few scantily-clad assistants to dangle grapes into your mouth.

The Lazy Days Hammock is an infinitely superior alternative to deckchairs and loungers, and it's so easy to erect and take down you'll be tempted to take it everywhere. So stop lazing around and order yours now!

visitor avatar Seems like a great product. I ordered it for someone's birthday.

visitor avatar Does what it says on the box, very easy to set up and is surprisingly comfortable! Definitely worth the money. It is actually quite heavy though, not sure it would be ideal to carry it around on your back though.
Premal Kamdar, London - 20th September 2010
visitor avatar This is a great hammock I've had for a couple of years now and it has been used nonstop in summer. Every time people see it they want to have a go in it. I got the blue one and it is a nice colour and size, able to hold 1 normal sized adult or 2 children. Downsides: The material stretches over time so hammock starts to touch ground - you can fix this by twisting the ends round. And now it has torn as I left it out in the wind and it twisted too far. But for the price and the use we've had from it, I'm going to get another one!

visitor avatar I have always wanted a hammock since falling into the most glorious sleep in one in India. However, the lack of two potential trees to hold one created a bit of a problem for me. The lazy days hammock alleviates this problem, is simple to assemble/dismantle and is incredibly comfortable. I'm hoping this glorious weather is going to continue so I can make the most of it. If you ain't got one - get one!
Kevin Hamilton, Balham - 28th July 2010
visitor avatar Great hammock, I have always wanted one and thought this would be the best time and way to get hold of one. Will recommend, its awesome. Only thing I would say though is its a shame the material is not enough on both sides or the unit a little taller to allow you to turn on your sides, if you try that on this one you will fall out. Thats the only issue I have with it, otherwise. . Sooo good!
Tahir Ahmed, Nottingham - 20th July 2010
visitor avatar It's a fantastic way to spend a hot sunny day. I agree with previous reviews that it is quite weighty and we had some difficulty stretching the material to the hooks of either end. It actually took 4 grown men to be able to sort it out. I hope by leaving the material to stretch, we wont have this problem reoccurring.

visitor avatar Why oh WHY can't it be shipped to Ireland?! Gutted, it was top of my wish list!
Aoife, Ireland - 7th June 2010
Firebox says: Ah! We are sorry. It's too heavy you see.
visitor avatar Absolutely fab gift, bought for friend and they love it. The only problem is that it seems to be getting closer and closer to the floor the more it is used!!!
Lou, Cornwall - 10th July 2009
visitor avatar Just literally had this delivered for my boyfriend's birthday and went outside to set it up and check it over. I LOVE IT AND NEED ONE FOR MYSELF. It is fab, I am now wondering who else I can buy one for! It is a little heavy for us girls to carry too far, but if a mere blonde can set it up in 2mins flat its got to be a winner! Fab service from Firebox too, I ordered it less than 24hrs ago and its now in the garden! Result !!!
Claire Hall, Surrey - 25th June 2009
visitor avatar I set up the hammock in my tiny backyard, then my girlfriend jumped on and didn't want to let me have a turn! VERY easy to assemble/disassemble, but might be a little to heavy for a GIRL to carry to and fro, which is good. This is a MAN's hammock! At least till the ladies learn to share. Seriously good fun to take to work and setup in an office during lunch to make EVERYONE jealous. I tell them, get your own portable hammock! By the way, this goes great with a laserpod lightshow indoors!
